Depends on trajectory, to hit Iran, unless your going over the southern hemisphere, you're either passing over China, Russia or Europe / the middle east. At least for ICBMs launched from the mainland. I suppose there's nothing stopping a sub from launching a few miles from Iran's coast.
Nope but China, Israel, Russia, India and Pakistan all do and its probably unclear who the US would be launching at when they're all headed towards Iran. Lots of itchy trigger fingers around.
Full disclosure I don't agree with the US doing any of this, I'm Canadian and even Carneys supporting of the US right now means I'll never vote for him again. That being said, I 100% support a grassroots overthrow by Iranians of their own fucking repressive government. Something they've been working on by the past few months in massive protests. They degrade by about 10% on a 5 year time scale on average. So when your EV is 10 years old its at a state of health is about 80% of original charge. I mean you might get a lemon that degrades faster than that but then typically you're also putting in a warranty claim for a new battery. I'm not sure how long getting to 10% of original charge would even take because who would even keep a car that long?
