You are the first person I've seen in the wild to recommend OGoA. This makes me so happy!! I stumbled upon them via Kickstarter when they did their TTRPG and found out the writers are from 2 towns where I have also lived.
I love laser etched glass but it would show up much more on clear glass. So if you're set on brown glass, then left one looks better to me...from the picture. Now if it shows up to you in person enough that you can make out the motifs then, I would pick etched over heat printed.
This started me wondering why megafauna was extra-mega, like those bison, or wooly mammoths... could it be the ice age climate? Like how humans in say Scandinavia are larger because it's more advantageous in a cold climate?
And will humans start to grow smaller as the earth heats up, or are we offsetting that with our improved childhood nutrition and modern healthcare?
I think it's mostly crabgrass lol. I let the yard mostly do what it wants to, but I keep it trimmed to not encourage rodents. It could have some actual St. Augustine and Bermuda mixed in. It's also got wild strawberries, clover, ground ivy, carpet weed and other neat colorful weeds that I actually kind of like. The yard is too damn big to do battle with weeds and maintain a monoculture of HOA darling Kentucky bluegrass, so when you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
Pretty much the same rationale. WWGD. But I used shortening for my base coats only because that's what I had on hand. Then I basically only cooked bacon, sausage, ham, and pork chops in them to build up the seasoning.
I did the same with these pans too. Though I didn't need an angle grinder. A day or two in a trash bag marinating in oven cleaner, then some steel wool and elbow grease. That's why I call them my babies, they are antique pans that sadly had gotten rusty and I gave them new life. They were my mom's, and before her, her great-grandma's pans (and maybe someone else's before then but we, the family, have lost track).
I repurposed a pharmacy pill bottle. I'm afraid of dropping a nicer container when I'm depositing new whiskers, sending all the whiskers flying. So, little plastic tube with a lid. Thanks, anxiety. 🙄
I respect that you were brave enough to admit on the internet to using a little soap now and again with your cast iron. It took me about a year after I rehabbed mom's pans to work up the courage to gently swipe a little soap on them now and again. They still get dried in the oven and moisturized with avocado oil. Mah bebes.
Is it in a car?Is it in a bar?Is it in a bag?I'm sorry you've hit a snag.
