  • So sorry for your loss. You're a stronger person than me. My dad passed when I was 16. Liver and kidney failure from alcolishm. We weren't exactly close, and I cant say i liked him at the time, but he was still my dad. I couldn't handle being there in the end. The sounds like you describe them were too much. I never had grief nightmares, but i also haven't had vivid dreams since i was like 10. I did have a few panic / anxiety attacks in the years immediately after, but they stopped pretty quick. I'm about to turn 30, and I promise you, every day gets a little easier. I'm sure your therapist is a better resource, but you ever want to talk to an anonymous stranger, my DMs are open.

  • Ireland, hands down. I've been twice, and both times I've been absolutely enamored with the country. I'm from the Midwest, so a lot of it is probabky just the differences and the fact I'm on vacation. But the castles and walkabke cities, and rolling hills, and so much green instead of brown or yellow! I'm also a fantasy nerd, so I'm a sucker for anything that can have a medieval spin.

    In all honesty I had my problems with Kamala and the dems since they did Bernie dirty, but I also believe in lesser evils. I doubt the dems would've kicked 17M people off of healthcare. Still probably would be dropping the same amount of bombs, but little wins ya know

  • I know exactly what you're talking about with the burnout and decision anxiety for new games that take hours to complete a tutorial or have paragraphs of menu text. It's not exactly the open world you're talking about, but I found Hard Space Ship Breaker to be a great alternative to that. It's got excellent lore and storytelling while still being a very simple game. Think power wash simulator, but breaking apart spaceships in a space trucker stop. It's simple, and each "day" is a hard 15 minutes, so you'll always have a stopping point in a reasonable time.
