His current promise honestly sounds like he's over promising. Also, who keeps giving him money to make games?! I know the article says it's self funded, which I guess makes sense, but did he really make so much over the years that he can solo finance this? Seems unlikely, but what do I know?
For real. The guy in the article being shocked is like someone being surprised that Facebook and Google use your data for ads. No shit! Everyone who's been paying even a little attention knows this.
I was trying to clarify, not defend. It is absolute garbage and this article as a whole is a pile of nothing, written in a weird breathless style like they just discovered something. Thumbs down to this shit all around.
It's not marketing speak because GrapheneOS didn't say it. It's a bad headline from a site known for bad reporting. GrapheneOS has been talking about this for months and there's nothing new in this article that wasn't already out there.
I'm glad this is getting some traction now, but this is some poor reporting. This is one site reporting what another site saw, which was just GrapheneOS restating things they've been saying since the summer, with no new info. I read both this article and the one they link to as their source and learned nothing I haven't already known for months just from casually checking on GrapheneOS socials.
Sign an executive order repealing every executive order The Fanta Menace signed.
Eliminate the massively stupid electoral college and implement ranked choice voting for all federal elections.
Eliminate the Senate, whose only purpose appears to be to give states with 5 people as much power as states with 5 million people, which is deeply undemocratic.
Implement a program to periodically assess how many representatives per state should be in the House of Representatives, aligned with every census, so proper population based representation can occur.
See if there's a way to fix the Supreme Court by either getting rid of FatPutin's appointees that he got via Congressional interference, by expanding and packing the court, or both. Also, implement a 20 year term limit instead of this life bullshit so we don't have seniles making key decisions.
Set the age limit for all federally elected positions to 60 because again, we don't need seniles making important decisions. Go enjoy your golden years with all your ill-gotten lobby money. Also make this the standard retirement age for everyone. Work longer than this if you want or need to, but this should be the age we all retire so we can enjoy some part of life before we're too decrepit to move.
Tax the fuck out of the rich. Rich is defined as over $1 million a year in income of ANY form. Anyone who resists by using tax shelters or other loopholes has all their assets seized and liquidated to be put into a fund for the public good and is jailed for 10 years in a medium security prison. Any income over $1 million per year is basically forfeit because no one gets that rich without exploitation and no one needs that kind of money. And what will we do with all this new tax money?
UBI for everyone, housing for the unhoused, food for the unfooded, and universal health care for all without exception.
If I haven't been assassinated before getting all this done, I will immediately resign because I absolutely do not want this job or anything approaching this level of responsibility, but someone has to right this stupid ship, so I'll do my best to get the above done, then fuck off and no one has to hear from me again.
I just searched for Doctor Who news and found a bunch of articles dating all the way back to August saying pretty much this. The spinoff will be next year, at which point Disney will decide if they want to continue with more Doctor Who. If they bail out, the BBC will be continuing it without Disney. I've never gotten into any of the books or radio shows or whatever, so I don't know who this author is, but someone should tell him how to use the internet to find information before making wild statements. One example, among many:
That's great if you only have a couple of online accounts, but get past a few dozen and you're toast. I don't know about you, but I sure can't remember 50+ unique pass phrases. However, I can remember the one for my password manager, which has 30+ random character passwords for all my accounts.
A bonus with the Index is that you don't have to worry about all your personal data being scraped and sold.
