  • Depending on the writer, there are three consistent kryptonite types:

    Green weakens him, but overall it doesn’t kill him. Strips his powers, makes him faint or just weak and nauseous.

    Blue just takes his powers away either temporarily or permanently

    Red intoxicates him or enhances his impulsiveness/brashness

    There are others, but they kind of shift of just don’t exist in the main canon

    I think shifting away from the symbol is important, as there are many negatives associated with it.

    Mainly all the negatives perceptions of the USSR and those rapidly overtake the positives that are being reinforced by the rest of the “meme”.

  • TLDR:

    This is mostly an opinion article

    We discovered Greek and Roman statues during The Renaissance with the look of white pristine marble. then made a cultural association with that look and now it seems we can’t shake it.

    It became the gold standard so when we see a color restoration with vibrant colors immediately it’s taken as knock off trash. This is due to the colors chosen in the reconstruction being done by modern artists.

    Also, there may be some intentionality with making the reconstructions bad to generate buzz from the reactions. Aka trolling.

  • So I think you’re gonna want to go with Levi premium, this is only available online or in an actual Levi outlet stores.

    The numbers like 501, 511 or whatever never indicate quality and only indicate design specifications

    Levi Strauss is what you usually find in something like Walmart stores, and is partially polyester. Levi original is the next step and that’s at like Macy’s and other department stores. Levi’s shrink to fit is raw denim, but hard to find nowadays most likely at an Levi outlet as well. $50-$100

    Premium is right above the middleground, better quality denim and sewing work.

    Then there is Levi’a Made and Crafted / Levi Japan / Blue Tab(high quality denim and uses the originally indigo dye for the jeans) about $300+

    Lastly Vintage is recreated versions of their ancient jeans, similar in quality to Levi Japan.
