  • I used to do the /Italics/ a lot but over here we use markdown so it's just as easy to do italics like this

  • Mostly the triple usage of each button, I find that concept super fascinating. I know we've kept some of it with the modifier keys but it's not the same lol

Edit to add: Thank you for the picture! I gotta go poke around the docs for this bad boy a bit to glean some more info off those buttons

  • Could we get a closer look at that keyboard/terminal? I've been thinking about picking one up to toy with lately

  • Anything goes

The mods disagree on this one

  • I would focus on getting steam deck verified instead, if possible.

One billion times this. That's a checkmark that increases your marketshare by a lot. Desktop Linux users (not all, but some) look to that as a good indicator on whether it'll run for them because it's even harder to make it run well on the steam deck. Kind of a "two birds one stone" thing

  • At this point, Linux native is almost more like reinventing the wheel. The people working on the compatibility layers have done so much work to make a windows game feel native that you can almost think of them as cross compilers in a weird gross way

  • @stux@mstdn.social

I can send you the full 274 on the 1st but I cannot use PayPal. If we can figure out a different way for me to get you the money hmu

  • Bro this is really how you want to behave? Like this is the type of person you want to be? This is the way you think you should interact with the world? Why?

  • The rest of us know you're not superior

You might be surprised, I'm actually genuinely better than...

Wait fuck I'm doing it again aren't I

  • Happens to me sometimes if my internet hiccups, nbd

  • Because bitching doesn't accomplish anything. Giving criticism does.

  • Thank you for teaching me a bit! Ya know, I bet my computer science classes taught me this at some point. I should pay more attention to my readings lol

  • I remember, back in middle school, reading about this guy who requested to be on the sex offender list because he noticed as he got older that the age group he was interested wasn't changing. He started feeling attraction in middle school, towards middle schoolers, and it never changed.

Imagine my fear when I started feeling attraction to people in middle school lol.

But in any case, yeah. There are some people who notice they have a gross aspect about them and they go and fuckin do something about it. I'm a narcissist. I have a superiority complex. I have all sorts of issues and I'm super honest about them and I try to fight them in my head every day.

  • Just a heads-up that this double posted

  • You know you can automate it right? Like long before the advent of AI we've been able to automatically tag things based off their content/source/whatever you want really.

  • You're not giving criticism by rolling your eyes at the language. You're bitching about it. Giving criticism would require that you also explain why it's wrong and how to do better.

  • Actually yeah, I see your point and that's something I've done before. Just something like

    Edit: Got this one wrong

  • Would you happen to be able to tell me why using the lower domain doesn't work? Also am I using the right terminology?

  • Ideally the Fediverse would have a single domain...

Educate me a bit. Would it be possible to create a unique low level domain like www for the Fediverse? Imagine fed.service.instance/data as the structure perhaps?
