  • Reducing the validity timespan will not solve the problem, it only reduces the risk. And how big is that risk really? I'm an amateur and would love to see some real malicious case descriptions that would have been avoided had the certificate been revoked earlier...

    Anybody have some pointers?

  • Captain Obvious arrived on the scene. Now we wait for the world leaders.

  • Right. That explains it, thanks.

  • Maybe I do not understand. But my version of Appcloud is not Israeli.

I have a Samsung M, with bloatware including AppCloud. It has terms of service and privacy policy and mentions what open source code it uses. It is a product of Aura for Unity and not from Israel. It DOES COLLECT A SH*TLOAD OF DATA if I may believe the privacy policy so it is disabled in my system.

    From the privacy policy:

"2.INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND USE.  These Services are pre-installed on your device. We  may collect information about your device such as  the manufacturer, device model, operating system, available storage place, whether headphones and charger are connected to the device, the language  that the device is set to, IP address, Android  advertising identifier, GCM token, a list of the  applications which are installed on your device and  the frequency of usage in the applications, mobile  operator, device ID and technical details like RAM  and CPU. We may also collect information such as  your country, usage data (for example, how many  times you used our Service) and information  provided by you about your gender and age. Information we gather may be used to understand  your preferences and accordingly, to recommend you with services that we believe may be of interest  to you. We may also use data for purposes that  include analytics, product enhancements and new  development, provide our services. When you  contact us by email, we may keep record of your  correspondence to us and we may use any  information you provide to improve the Services and to respond to your requests."

"9.CONTACT INFORMATION. If you have any  questions or comments about this Privacy Policy, or  if you would like to rectify incorrect data, please  contact us at dpo@unity3d.com with a copy to: aura-tech-support@unity3d.com. • Why is the word brainwashing in quotes?

  • I've traveled all over the world and I noticed that only in civilized countries drivers licenses are actively enforced. If you find my remark smugly because you are feeling addressed, then that is totally your own problem.

  • I don't know what country this is, but in my country he will have to pay 100% tax if he uses the company vehicle for private purposes. The driver will have to keep an auditable km registration.

  • Way too heavy. Not allowed with standard drivers license in civilized countries.

  • In the netherlands road tax is paid depending on the weight of the vehicle (and some more factors). Also, a standard drivers license B is for cars with maximum weight 3500kg (unladen weight plus payload).

  • I buy a newspaper and black out all the advertisements. Now the government is banning black felt-tip pens?

  • NextCloud is a full collaborative platform that includes file-sharing, file-editing, chat, calendars, to-do lists, mail, and more. Does Sync-in provide similar features, or is it only focused on file-sync and collaborative file-editing? Is it really an alternative for NextCloud?

  • It is fairly cheap. Buy something (https://www.wolfswinkel.nl/) and let us know what you found out.

It looks Chinese white-label that is branded in the Netherlands. There is also a Dutch company selling very similar products all over Africa with South-Africa as the main hub: https://greenmeetsafrica.com/

  • Sure, it can go wrong, it is not fool-proof. Just like building a new model can cause unwanted surprises.

BTW. There are many theories about Grok's unethical behavior but this one is new to me. The reasons I was familiar with are: unfiltered training data, no ethical output restrictions, programming errors or incorrect system maintenance, strategic errors (Elon!), publishing before proper testing.

  • No. You would use a base model (GPT-4o) to get a reliable language model to which you would add a set of rules that the chat bot follows. Every company has its own rules, it is already widely in use to add data like company-specific manuals and support documents. Not rocketscience at all.
