  • From their description it seems like just another tpm - like chip with extra functionality. That "cloud to chip" stuff seems to be marketing bs to me, possibly a tpm like chip that can only be used by Azure services? Doesn't seem to me that it overrides the os in any way, so Linux would probably just ignore it withou the right drivers.

  • Switzerland: Generally you are only allowed to go during breaks and if you forget / don't have time due to switching buildings you are told to suck it. Starting a certain age girls are allowed to go whenever, but only some teachers allow it in practice. During breaks though, I never had to ask a teacher.

  • Thats great and all, but for the 12-14 year old who never smoked tobacco and only started vaping because of the color and flavour assortment, the fact that theese even exist in that category, clearly targeted at children, is a massive problem. If the vape companies really wanted to help adults quit, they would be selling like 2 tobacco-like flavors in unattractive packaging, then I think a lot less kids would vape. Imo (though no personal expirience) Adults wanting to quit don't need the pink cookie dough cotton candy emoji-fied vape...

  • I shouldn't be but I am honestly kind of shocked. MacOS was supposed to be for everyone, pros and laypeople allike. Not a mac user so I can't be sure, but if windows removed this ability a ton of software from random github projects or self compiled software would become useless. DON'T THEY KNOW THAT? They can't possibly think, the people running apps like that will get a developer subscription just to run that one random app they use.
