It’s stupid for everyone but the politicians. This looks good to the most reliable voting bloc, and is dangerous to everyone.
That looks like telephony cable to me. With googly eyes added on. So life-like!
Used to belong to a Homebrewing forum (beer, not computer servers), and they had monthly post about someone wanting to infuse their beer with tobacco. Which is where I learned that it will kill ya dead. Tobacco can be used externally to reduce swelling, chew on a wasp sting will prevent a lot of it. Or if you’re looking for trouble late in life I guess you could smoke it also, though that one seems a great deal less compelling to me.
Re-iterate - Don’t eat any food made with tobacco, it will harm you at the very least.

So, there may not be much in the way of new actual military spending, just improving the roads/rails of the agreeing countries. That seems a lot easier to sell to the folks that are further from Russia.
There’s an AFB or navy base by a lot of bigger cities. The army takes their crazy off into a corner of a state though, so they can play in the field alone.
Nationalism vs Patriotism
Nationalism - identification with one’s own nation and support for its interests, especially to the exclusion or detriment of the interests of other nations.
Patriotism - the quality of being patriotic; devotion to and vigorous support for one’s country.

Or perhaps her brother Dweezil Zappa. There’s a lot of countries that wouldn’t even allow a child to be named that. (thank goodness)

It makes me sad I know the song, still.

What he should have said is that everyone in the world would be dead. There’s no way there isn’t retaliation from any of the nuclear armed opponents. He’ll, id consider it if I were in charge of UK/France and the US did that. Maybe I’m wrong, but it seems like that level of radiation in the atmosphere would destroy human life anyway.
That might be one of the most adorable cats I’ve ever seen, and I like cats.

This guy doesn’t understand how friendship works. You guys are my friends, and that’s why I’ve voted in someone to ruin your life, because I care about you! But this is mildly inconvenient for me too guys, c’mon think about me.
Jikiya@lemmy.worldto Fediverse vs Disinformation@lemmy.dbzer0.com•Is it just me, or is there a distinct lack of subtlety in right wing propaganda campaigns recently?12·29 days agoThe term has been hijacked from it’s original meaning, much like irony.
That said, it’s so dumb. The folks from developing countries are much more likely to be on “their side”. People from developing countries tend to be a great deal more religious. While folks from the EU tend to be less religious, and want more “socialist” programs from the government.
But of course they can’t get over their racism to even make any good decisions.

Especially if you have no idea how to make the things you need. What’s doubly bad is relying on a country that says they want to be ready to go to war with you in three years.
Trade is good, but we need to know how to make the stuff we rely on daily. If WW3 were to start, and we were to get cut off from our trading partners, we need to know how to make the things we require to continue to exist. I don’t think the video is trying to convince us to never buy another foreign product. I think it’s telling us we need to retain the knowledge that is required to make things in the US, so the country doesn’t grind to a halt in the event of an emergency.

Why do I need a SIM card to enable a hotspot whereas every other phone works without one?English17·1 month agoSamsung used to have their WiFi sharing under the Hotspot setting. Then they changed the layout, and now WiFi sharing is buried deep in menus to make sure (for some terrible reason, I’m sure) it’s not found without a web search. They change the exact location of it with every OneUI update also, to further piss me off. They are surely the company that is actively trying hardest to lose customers.
What goes around… Comes around by Justin Timberlake? Seems like it could fit in that tune.
Sweet, the Russian army gets more meat for it’s grinder. You would think Russian serfs would be more careful about breaking the law during these mass sacrifice times.
Am I getting even worse at reading? I didn’t see anywhere in that article where it actually says what he did. How is it that he specifically saved them. Seems like that’s too many people to have personally picked them up on his back and carried them to safety. Feels a bit like the Family Guy segment where Lois constantly says ‘9/11’ to win political arguments. “He saved 165 campers!”
That being said, I’m very glad he was there doing his job and was able to save 165 people from dying… somehow.
