  • Try whole grilled onion and you’ll leave animal style behind with the tourists.

  • Me whenever someone tries to say that In N Out fries are the best while dunking them in a gallon of ketchup. Good fries should stand on their own.

  • Oh my god Chinese bitter melon. During lockdown, I wanted to try cooking something new every week and ended up with a Chinese bitter melon dish and, not only did the shallow fried Thai chilis in the recipe make the air unbreathable, but the entire dish was probably the most bitter thing I've ever tasted. Though I still get the feeling like it might be better in a different dish cooked by someone who is familiar with it and likes it. I don't like disliking foods. Finally starting to be okay with olives now.

  • That arm and hammer toothpaste was such a surprise

  • Do they make induction wok burners where you can constantly toss the wok while the induction element still works? Last I saw, the induction wok has to be stationary to heat.

I have electric, would prefer induction, and the only case I’d really want gas is to quickly char peppers directly over the flame.

  • I had my cat laminated 🤺

  • The barcade near me has a Sinistar (1982) cabinet and I play it every time I go. I’m not even that good at it, but I love it so much.

Also I love those Lucasarts point and click adventure games. Grew up playing Monkey Island and play it again every once in a while.

  • What show is this?

[edit: it looks like Summer Camp Island? I don't remember it that well if that's the case]

[edit edit: after a bit of hunting, I think it's from the final episode of season 1 of Summer camp island; The Library]

  • The thing on the scroll is usually what the meme poster supports and the 4th panel person’s reaction is who they’re making fun of.

  • I don't think it's implying the boundaries are singular climates. I think it's more like "the variance of climates in this area are similar to the variance of climates in this other country". It's a bit hard to see, but there are names of cities labeled on the map as well. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but I'm inferring that Shanghai and Tokyo have similar climates to each other because they're very close on the map in NC.

    Edit: They seem fairly similar?

  • Hall of Fame: HBO -> HBO Go -> HBO Now -> HBO Max -> MAX -> HBO Max

  • I love how you unquoted “evidence” in the original meme. I just wanted to know how the people you know were affected, and every message you send that avoids that screams “I totally have a girlfriend but she lives in another country and she doesn’t like her picture taken, but trust me, she definitely exists”

  • I mean, it’s just the entire crux of your argument. I’m also not the same person you’ve been talking to. All I did was ask you to make a claim instead of vagueposting about the definition of genocides being pretty wide and getting on a soapbox. It’s hard to have discussions when you refuse to communicate about the topic, but rather delve into meta-commentary as soon as you’re asked for any details that have brought you to your conclusion.

  • That’s a lot of words to avoid saying “I believe China is committing genocide because they are doing ____”.

You have a friend over there but haven’t said what their experience is. You have said genocide doesn’t have to look like Israel but haven’t specified how it applies to China from your perspective. Make a claim.

  • I ordered online Jersey Mike's (sandwich chain restaurant) on my lunch break at a new job, then walked a mile in the opposite direction towards a Jimmy Johns (another sandwich chain restaurant) and wasted my entire lunch break waiting on my food that was never going to be at the wrong restaurant.

  • Make a claim

  • I was just thinking about this regarding climate the other day and found this interesting graphic on climate similarities in North America.

  • Not really all that recent (mid to late 00s). Unfortunately I don't really know anyone in the area anymore to ask if they still teach or require it.

  • I don’t think the center line and top bar are the same thing. It’s probably just referring to the center of the front. Hypercardioid mics don’t perform well off-axis. The line after the quoted one is talking about plosives and how you can rotate the mic if they become an issue, assuming the diaphragm is pointing at your mouth.
