Any pronouns. 33.

Professional developer and amateur gardener located near Atlanta, GA in the USA.

I'm using a new phone keyboard, please forgive typos.

  • Well my mom is AI and my dad is human so I guess you could say I'm mixed.

  • Built like Robotnik

  • I had a typo. Reread it. It's the "my (gender age)" part that annoys me. "My boyfriend" is a person, "me" is a person, but "my" is not a person.

  • Aside, but I hate that people say "my (F 21) boyfriend (M 53) prevents me" instead of "my boyfriend (M 53) prevents me (F 21)"

  • Don't forget that they used to add referral parameters to links you clicked so they got a kickback from you clicking things from anywhere even if they didn't make that link for you.

  • Shampoo cleans your scalp moreso than your hair. Conditioner makes your hair nicer moreso than your scalp. Both of them have unique needs because they're on your hair rather than just your skin, which is where you use soap.

    • Games should have some way to take notes in game.
    • External wikis are great and I love them, but they aren't an excuse for not explaining how your game works within your game. There needs to be good in game guides.
    • All games need some way to save and quit. Looking at you, rogue likes. People have lives. That's more important than protecting some weird form of honor by making the excuse that it's to prevent save scumming.
  • 🥾👅

  • Onion

    Jump
  • Everybody loves cake!

  • Don't forget lying and defaming one of the most prominent third party devs.

  • Like Bluetooth and IoT before it.

  • I hate this so much. There are plenty of aesthetically pleasing ways to avoid it. Windows 8 was particularly bad, my recollection was they literally looked exactly the same there, no difference at all. Luckily I only had to use it for a very brief unpaid internship.

  • It's viable, StackExchange as a company is just shit. See: then never listening to meta, listening to random Twitter users more, and defaming their volunteer moderators.

  • Nobody here is suggesting for you to use Yahoo Answers.

  • Not objective in the sense that aliens would come to the same definition for what is and isn't a planet. Compare that to something like what the elements are.

  • Like I said, I'm not talking about specific sites, I'm talking about moderation style.

  • So you're saying things just exist, and as humans we categorize them? Because that's what I said.

  • My questions weren't homework problems with 500 duplicates. Maybe that type of shit being the most common in the vote to close queue is why fuckfacerubberstamper can't be bothered to actually think about what they're closing as dupes.

  • Like Lemmy? The site we're all using?

But no my point wasn't about a specific site, it's about the moderation approach. Do you really think there's no middle ground in approach to moderation between Yahoo Answers and StackOverflow?
