  • Sizing has got much worse in recent years, ever since the uprise of 'fast fashion'. Its in companies best (profit) interests to have less sizes that covers other similar sizes. What used to be a XS, S & M may now just be a "S" size, but made with slightly more room in some areas and stretchier fabric to allow for it to fit as a slightly larger size. Why carry 7 sizes when you can carry 3 sizes?Couple this with clothes & goods being made with lower cost manufacturing techniques and materials so they dont last as long, fit as well or resist as much wear & tear.

    Profits, profits, profits.

  • Wouldnt the company be more profitable without his interference and huge salary/bonus?

  • We are all dutch on this blessed day

  • If you after carbonated go a whiskey highball.

Having said this an old fashioned is my go-to as i am a neat scotch drinker typically and this fits well (especially while i am out somewhere and dont want to pay "bar prices" for scotch). And since the old fashioned is a bit flexible i migrate from rye to bourbon to scotch and loop back again, it keeps it interesting and its super simple if you want to drink it at home. All you need is bourbon/scotch/rye, bitters, cherry or orange peel & simple syrup (make your own with sugar+water).

Too sweet? Use less simple syrup or use rye whiskey.More flavour? Use more bitters.Like smokey? Squeeze the orange peel zest over a lighter flame

  • Its just a 'pack' of apples, but the farmer was from new zealand

  • Remember kids, Putin: not even once.

  • Its at least a rolling boil

  • Even if they didnt show him winning, a poll saying its roughly 50/50 is like saying to someone your going to flip a coin and then them being flabbergasted when it comes out tails, what did you expect, its probability, not the current vote percentage.

  • I know this is off topic, but every time i see you comment of a thread all i can see is the pepsi logo (i use the sync app for reference)

  • Dolt

  • I raise you Meiji

  • Is this a "drones are coming to harm us" thing or a "paparazzi drones are taking pictures/videos where we thought we were out of sight" thing?

  • Soon™

  • Except that the Dems tried to do this recently and the Republicans wouldn't come to the table, but as soon as they are in: "oh hey guys, check out our great policy you all love".

Just saw this comment after posting saying it better than i: https://lemmy.world/comment/13969026

  • Yes Aus has both of those things too.

  • Misinformation or misdirection for how to vote or voting practices? The AEC will have you for that.Misinformation or straight up political lies to convince you to vote for them?Thats allowed.

In Aus politicians can say whatever they want to get you to vote for them/not for the other parties, but they cannot trick you into filling out your vote cads to vote in a way that you didnt intend.

  • NEIN!

  • Honestly why 3d print any tools that are expected to handle significant force, its much more practical to make a hammer out of a sturdy bit of wood and shape a bit of steel to go on the end than it is to print one and expect it not to break the first time you use it. What if the nail is still sticking out and needs to be knocked in again a second or third time? Especially in a country where every hardware store sells hammers and there are hammer club catch ups where you can also get them from other hammer enthusiasts. The whole 3D printed hammer thing is sensational journalism hyped up over a theoretical issue that really isnt an actual issue.

  • Why dont you check out Time's person of the year 1938

  • The sad part being that the guy was innocent of the accusations in that case
