  • Oh would you look at that, its quarter past enough-internet-for-the-day.

  • Gradual hearing loss is ironically a huge risk/side effect of playing live music. You can get specialty earbuds now that reduce db while not loosing too much frequency range, but it is still noticeable.

  • Aren't Red states essentially on welfare from the Blue states? Sounds like lashing out and projection

  • What the general public thinks: Car or phone battery. What the scientists mean: Button cell battery for hearing aids.Reality: never makes it past the article/news cycle to scalable manufacture.

  • Wait, some guys thought there was going to be repeat business selling an undersea cable cutting device and they went to the trouble of patenting it?

How many people are in the business of maliciously cutting these cables indiscriminately, it feels like this device is more of a build it and sell on the shady/black market kind of deal.

  • Here are three more you might enjoy: Paul Hiscock.Paul Mycock.Wayne kerr.

(Yes these are all real people i know, and surprisingly there are more with the same names after a quick google)

  • As Muskrat has shown us with Xitter, profits arent everything when your already a billionaire. Sometimes its about burning a pile of money in exchange for influence, control and power.

  • Discriminating “against the important interest of other states by targeting large energy companies located outside of Vermont.”

Oh im sorry, did you want to be exempt from ruining the environment in Vermont because you were actually ruining the environment outside of Vermont, and if they happen to be connected somehow thats just a weird coincidence of them both being contained within the same planet's atmosphere?

  • Also the difference in wow factor. Its "we are making an even faster, better and more stealthy plane than all the previous ones we have" vs "we are convincing the entire world that we are leaving our actual planet to fly through space and land on the moon". One of these is a significantly more juicy secret to impress someone with.

  • You disgust me, no salsa‽

  • Im no economist but with negative inflation it drives consumers to put off that next purchase. Why buy the car you have been saving for, or put a bid on a house, upgrade your TV or get replacement running shoes if prices are staying the same or potentially going down? A way to make sure that people spend now and dont put it off is that they know the longer they wait the higher chance that the shoes are going to be $5 more in a months time or two.If people arent spending then conversely people arent selling, building, labouring, etc and then everything grinds to a halt. People get laid off, people cant pay rent or mortgages, things go to shit.

At least this is the way i understand it, and like i said im no expert.

  • For the 'remove the accumulation' part - get a pack of microfibre clothes. One wipe over a surface will be enough to get most dust, plus they do a great job of windows & mirrors, windex/glass cleaner is much more effective followed up with microfibre rather than another cloth or paper towels.Once the cloth gets a bit of dust built up put aside and use the next clean cloth and keep cleaning, throw them all in a normal wash whenever you're done (just do NOT use fabric softener).

    True Story

  • The horror i once experienced as a teenager after going out the front of the house to take the bin out and realising that those closely-bunded-bamboo-strip blinds we have on our front window create a one-way window effect at night, and that i could see my dad sitting at the family pc illuminated only by the glow of the CRT monitor.

I will never know what a passers by may or may not have seen but sometimes i remember this at 1am when lying in bed about to fall asleep.

  • IIRC cats cant digest milk well anyway as they are lactose intolerant but just fuckin love it

  • I have never thought of it this way, thanks i think ill take this on board.

  • Its a grief helpline in WA national
