Can you think of a non-Muslim country where 99% of the people want to have the country's laws be religious instead of secular, and 79% of those want the death penalty for anyone not wanting to be a member of that religion anymore?
Even 50%?
I could then look up if anyone have thought of even asking that question in such countries.
Both Maher and (more recently) Harris have been failing to sufficiently admit the horrors being committed by the West, trying to defend it and other vile things; but they weren't wrong in what they said in the video: they both think religions are very bad ideas - that religions are fairytales based on lies and the rejection of reality. Pointing out that compared to other popular religions, the percentage of believers in Islam-majority countries who agree with e.g. the death-cult behavior of killing of apostates is vastly higher than in other countries/religions.
If both are extraverts, then not initiating contact possibly means that person doesn't want to be friends anymore. Which is fine, sometimes it's better for a friendship to end.
If one is an introvert, then them initiating much less might not mean anything.
If both are introverts, then not getting messages or calls about banal things may be preferable for both, making them ideal friends.
To prevent the script from spreading further, all Wikimedia projects were set to read-only for about 2 hours, and all user JavaScript was temporarily disabled.
The NoScript extension in Firefox makes the web so much nicer. It turns out sites that don't require JavaScript tend to made by vastly better humans than sites that do. More so for sites that require cross-site scripting and cookies to just show text.
Can't search on google.com without allowing JavaScript, but it turns out Lite.DuckDuckGo does, and for me at least gives vastly better search results.
Wikipedia can be read and edited without allowing JavaScript, and I personally don't like the crap that the scripts provide. It's also usable without cookies, tho the idiotic UI options column on the right is a hassle without cookies.
The UK also has 1st-past-the-post voting, yet polling is showing that people are rejecting their 2 big parties: Labour (liberal capitalists) and the Tories (sociopathic capitalists), in favor of Reform (psychotic capitalists) and the Green party (ethical environmentalists).
"It is infinitely better to vote for freedom and fail than to vote for slavery and succeed." - Eugene V. Debs, Appeal to Reason, 1900-10-13
"Wage-labor is but a name; wage-slavery is the fact." - Eugene V. Debs, The Socialist Party and the Working Class 1904-09-01
Whatever live Linux distro you test, make sure to start with one that has a desktop environment called "Xfce", "Cinnamon", and/or "KDE".
Other desktop environments (the user interface) like "GNOME" are kind of Mac/Win8-like, which some Windows users dislike.
Warning: after using Linux for a while you're likely to not put up with crap anymore, causing you to jump to another Linux distro if your current distro does anything stupid. When Ubuntu started using GNOME3, I jumped to Xubuntu. When Xubuntu started with the Snap-nonsense, I jumped to Mint+Xfce.
Wouldn't it be better to make a new redacted book that removes all the psychotic verses, and name yourself after this new redacted book rather than the original fairy-tale book?
Do Torah Jews reject the quoted parts of Deuteronomy 20 and 32, and the other blood-thirsty commandments in mostly Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy?
Do the people who want a Linux phone that isn't Android, also want a selfie camera? Those 2 things don't seem to go together.
the new Jolla Phone won’t have any AI capabilities at launch, Saarnio says an integration will be an option users can enable later this year.
Again, Linux and LLM?
I personally don't like the phones/software targeting the privacy-demographic, because of all the pro-crypto and LLM stuff. Anyone have suggestions for phones for people who care about privacy, but care more about ethics? So no: LLMs, crypto, Russia/Chine/USA components?
The perversion of religion maybe. None of the abrahamic texts justify this insanity.
Have you ever read any of the Abrahamic texts?
Deuteronomy 32:40-46
40. For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.
41. If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.
42. I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy.
43. Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.
44. And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun.
45. And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel:
46. And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.
Quran 9:111 Lo! Allah hath bought from the believers their lives and their wealth because the Garden will be theirs: they shall fight in the way of Allah and shall slay and be slain. It is a promise which is binding on Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur'an. Who fulfilleth His covenant better than Allah ? Rejoice then in your bargain that ye have made, for that is the supreme triumph.
