  • I don't care what some declaration says. The US is insane about vaccines (among other things) and all this "choice" idiocy needs to stop. It should have stopped years ago.

  • When asked about the US attacking an Iranian desal plant - Trump made a reference to Iran "chopping babies’ heads off".

    The Guardian

When asked about earlier reports of the US attacking a freshwater desalination plant on Qeshm Island, Trump gave an evasive answer, immediately saying that Iran “are among the most evil people ever on Earth.”

He added: “I know nothing about a desalinization plant, other than to say, if they’re complaining about a desalinization plant, we complain about the fact that they shouldn’t be chopping babies’ heads off.”

US special envoy Steve Witkoff also said the Tehran leadership did not seem “very amenable” during negotiations before the US launched strikes.

“They told me and Jared, we’re not going to give you diplomatically what you couldn’t take militarily,” said Witkoff, referring to fellow negotiator and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. “So you know, I think they’re going to need a change of attitude.”

  • Many Americans are getting these diseases. But there is a cure.

When somebody is at google and they click link they get redirected to quack medicine company domain and there's an unstoppable pop-in with RFK Jr's face and the super-large words "TREATMENT NOW". There's a "Sale on now" button. Google gets tons of complaints but they don't do anything and the domain keeps appearing as a top result. Trump has a huge stake in company and Google doesn't want to make him mad.

  • We will miss Little Timmy. But god decided it was his time to die. I but wish god didn't make him look so awful. All those tiny pus things were so ugly and disgusting too. But - god works in mysterious ways.

  • That could be exactly what's happening. My wild hunch based on no actual evidence is Trump has gotten so super-lazy and he can't even be assed to post. In my head I can hear him say "Why should I post? I got aides and AI to do it for me."

  • If Trump were at least a bit of a normal person - I'd say yes. But Trump is Trump and he might actually have convinced himself for today that Iran is on the verge of collapse and surrender. But tomorrow? Who knows.

  • I've been very curious how "hardened" (or whatever the word is) Israeli reactors are against missile attack. I didn't google because I'm sick and tired of google being (total) shit and wasting my time. But curiosity might make me google later today. If I do and if I find something - I'll reply with it.

Edit. I don't think Iran would ever do that. It would be a suicidal move opening up Pandora's box for Israel and maybe even America to start nuclear attacks.

  • Trump is actually saying "We’ve already won!"

    The Guardian

Donald Trump said on Saturday that Britain is giving serious thought to sending two aircraft carriers to the Middle East but that he does not need them because “we’ve already won.” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform...

“The United Kingdom, our once Great Ally, maybe the Greatest of them all, is finally giving serious thought to sending two aircraft carriers to the Middle East. That’s OK, Prime Minister Starmer, we don’t need them any longer — But we will remember. We don’t need people that join Wars after we’ve already won!”

    I edited it for clarity.

  • Now why wasn’t this video called, “you won’t believe”.

    Hmm... Great question.

  • Is there anything actually useful in the article? I assume it's like 99+% of other "save money" articles. And it has such gems as "budgeting" and "planning" and "scheduling" plus whatever other gems I'm not remembering off the top of my head.

  • During Trump 1.0 there was a lot of guesswork about who was actually writing them. Maybe some reporters hunches were right. But as far as I know with Trump 2.0 - I don't think even access journalists have any idea. Also a Hexbear pointed out that there are em dashes in the posts which are 100% unTrumpian and most likely AI.

  • Yeah. It's... Um... Well... What can I say? It is neat.

Netanyahu tells Lebanon to enforce 2024 ceasefire

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told Lebanon it is up to them to enforce the 2024 ceasefire agreement.

“Your responsibility is to disarm Hezbollah,” he said in a video statement. “If you do not do this, Hezbollah’s aggression will result in disastrous repercussions for Lebanon. It is time for you to take your destiny in to your own hands. We will do all that is necessary to defend our communities and citizens.”

  • Maybe I'm all wrong but to me that post only sounds a little like him. The flow isn't right. It reminds me a lot of his recent posting going back months. It's like a Hollywood script significantly changed by uncredited scriptwriters. If I'm right - he's saying ~4 or 5 sentences (or whatever) and then his aides/AI finish the rest in their best Trump impression.

  • I got so worked up that even though I wasn't doing a rightwing parody I used my all caps voice. But it was that or fedposting.

  • The courts say the Trump administration isn’t complying in good faith with demands to give ICE detainees a measure of due process.

    [...]

Increasingly, [judges] are finding that the hearings they’re ordering — conducted by immigration judges who work for the Trump administration — have been fundamentally flawed or even pre-cooked, designed to result in findings of “danger to the community” or “flight risk” without a fair consideration of the evidence.

Some federal judges have required do-overs, and others have grown so skeptical of the administration’s intentions that they’ve ordered detainees released outright.

Iraqi prime minister condemns targeting of US embassy

Caretaker Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani called an attack launched on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad on Saturday a “terrorist act” carried out by “rogue groups.” He said he had issued orders to military and security agencies to pursue those responsible.

Iraqi security earlier said that a missile had landed on the helicopter landing pad in U.S. embassy complex in Baghdad. There were no casualties reported. An embassy spokesperson declined to comment. The U.S. State Department did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Baghdad’s heavily fortified Green Zone, which houses government offices and diplomatic missions has been attacked in the past, but this was the first reported strike to land in the week since Israel and the U.S. began striking Tehran, triggering a war in the Middle East.

Iran and allied Iraqi militias have launched dozens of attacks on U.S. military bases and other facilities in Iraq since then. They have also struck bases of Iranian Kurdish dissident groups with operations in northern Iraq.

  • Maybe it's on the shitter?
