  • You joke but that logic actually makes the original phrase kinda moot now that I think about it. Because on the one hand you’re right, you need to understand hate to practice it. But on the other hand there’s no need to hate yourself in order to hate someone else. For example a victim of a violent crime has no need to hate themselves and is morally justified in hating their aggressor. So by that logic, there’s also no intrinsic need to love yourself in order to love others either. Surely loving yourself would make you more experienced at loving others but it’s not really a prerequisite like the phrase wants to make it…

  • What is being discussed uses language that was decided by the same DSM that up until a few decades ago labeled homosexuality as a mental illness and caused Turing to be chemically castrated with the same estrogen that trans people line up for today, and then to kill himself over the violation of his bodily autonomy, and then to be stamped on £50 bills as a retroactive apology. That’s what’s being discussed.

Language is used to pathologize people for seeing things objectively. Systemic critique gets converted into personal failure. If you look at how the anglosphere operates through language you’ll realize that 99% of English serves the grammatical purpose of shifting the blame downwards and to pathologize people with thought-terminating clichés that imply that their own “free will” (which can’t be proven to exist and which the elite doesn’t believe in) is the root of their problems. Not the material conditions. But your reaction to them. Obviously. Because it’s never material conditions created by a person who can be punched, it’s always something wrong with you specifically. And with an ever-increasing proportion of the world population, apparently. The rise of depression is proof that the therapist class is doing a shit job at healing people, mostly because if they heal you they can’t pay their mortgage anymore; and besides it’s not like they can actually fix capitalism so they just sell you copium and tell you that you should be glad to be huffing it.

So in conclusion: why does everything suck? Because language is captured so thoroughly that you can’t even express the plain truth that your eyes observe without being categorized as something that can be used to reduce you to a manageable stereotype. So you internalize the stereotype and wonder why the cognitive dissonance you’re feeling hurts so much, and then you’re billed hourly to cope with it.

In order to succeed and be happy you don’t need therapy, you need lawyers who can litigate semantics and threaten people until they give up and leave you alone. Impunity is happiness for the untouchable.

  • Well you didn’t add any caveats to the transformation and you said it’s at will so… If mass is not conserved then I’d just turn into something heavy yet compact like a rhino and harvest infinite energy from the toggling. If I get support from a State I might even choose a whale so we can extract the most energy per toggle. You can basically build an engine from it, and since whales are like 200 tons and I’m 70kg, the conversion ratio would be pretty damn good. Though it would require a dedicated facility, which is why I’d rather go with a rhino or something, which is however about 100 times less efficient so it would require 100 times as much toggling. You get the picture.

Wikipedia is and has always been shit. It’s where institutions go to write down their propaganda so it sounds authoritative. In fact it’s the precursor to AI in that sense. It’s credentialism all the way down. If something is said somewhere by anyone, then it becomes a source. Unless that source is not approved of installed by the powers that let wikipedia gracefully host its websites.

If a page regarding a political or historical event isn’t under constant scrutiny, state actors and “trolls” will gradually alter it until it says nothing conclusive at all. Everything must be up in the air, everything must be “neutral” (when language itself is political…)

Also think about the incentives. You’re a government. You have people working full time to redact history. You CAN and you WILL threaten people who write the wrong version of history. This is not even hidden, see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_Wikipedia–U.S._government_conflicts

They can see it happening, they can document it happening, and they can’t do shit to change it because they’re not a peer to peer project. Like the fediverse for that matter, it’s all vulnerable to the same exact “a guy in a suit rang your doorbell because the server is on your premises” tactic.

So in conclusion, believing that “wikipedia good” and “AI bad” is an incredibly naive way to understand the world. Read up on Wittgenstein and Sapir-Whorf and tell me how this isn’t literally their theories being implemented.

  • They banned you because they can’t handle someone actually speaking their mind instead of writing a witty reddit one liner lol. what a bunch of insecure retards. This is some “la-la-la I can’t hear you” grade bullshit lol. Literally playground logic. I don’t even agree with you but at least you didn’t write a knee-jerk pun. You were thinking there, for a second. And then, poof, you’re gone. Classic reddit/feddit reaction to anyone not parroting the party line. But we’re better than them am i rite at least here we don’t have power-drunk fascists that ban you for every minor offens-

  • Or hear me out, renounce your stupid abrahamic religions and convert to the secular life, so that the only zealots left are the terrorists. Why would you willingly associate with a culture that consistently produces militant sects? Don’t you understand how it’s the same texts you were indoctrinated with that lead those people to those conclusions? Multiple readings and all. When you write gibberish, anyone can see whatever they want in it. So they see precisely whatever is most convenient to them, then they act shocked when “a few rotten apples” take the text to the letter and see something entirely different. Maybe if God’s word was actually absolute we wouldn’t have three competing major interpretations of it, each splintered into a myriad of contradictory sects.

And no, this is not a recent thing. Those insane religions and the deaths they caused are what half of all history is about. It will keep repeating for as long as these unfalsifiable fairy tales are used to retroactively justify power grabs.

See Moses & Aaron who genocided 3000 people for something they couldn’t have possibly done (the gold just magically turned into an idol, I swear on me mum, it’s the sinners not the ONLY FUCKING BLACKSMITH AROUND), and then appointed their own tribe as rulers. Why anyone would respect anything that came out of it… Must be ignorance. I hope.

  • Maybe if they didn’t copy and paste the social media they’re allegedly fleeing from, with all of its dark patterns minus the ad networks, people would take this shithole seriously. They don’t because it just enforces a new form of groupthink which is still brainrotted by american idpol. I’m tired boss. I want to say slurs online without the thought police coming to get me. While also being a leftist. I’m contradictory like that, you see. Blinded by hate and so on and so forth. eating from the trash can of ideology. and I still want to call people retards when they’re being fucking retards; fight me.

If you need any evidence just read the other comments in this thread: everyone is virtue signaling that they’re on the good team, then they’re infighting to define what that team even is. In my book, it’s a bunch of retards. OP is also a retard for posting their room temperature IQ takes as an image instead of as text. Exactly the sort of brainlet takes that social media encourages.

Also just because you can use mspaint it doesn’t mean that your strawman comics are worth looking at. See? This is what I miss. Being an asshole online so that people can look at their own output and consider that maybe it does suck, and maybe they do need to put in more effort. That’s the sort of feedback that people can work on, because it directly attacks their ego. Oh well.

  • the world seems to actively hate the idea of kids having something that remotely looks like choice.

Replace that with “power seems to actively hate the idea of anyone having anything that remotely looks like choice”. Mostly because everything is determined. And they know this. They understand that nothing is up to chance. We’re perfect little bots who respond deterministically (albeit chaotically) to sex, advertisement, gambling, propaganda, drugs, and so on. Basically all aspects of modern life are designed to chip away at your degrees of freedom. Consider a mortgage, for instance. It locks you into a job so that you can’t afford to quit anymore, or you end up destitute. Then consider marriage: it exists so that you buy a house and so that you have children in it. Every choice we think we’re making clicks like a ratchet and locks us into a lower energy state that’s easy to control.

Or… and I’m prepared to receive flak for this. But consider transitioning in the US specifically. On one side you have Dems coddling you, and on the other side you have Republicans threatening to murder you. So once you transition you’re a Dem voter for life even if you don’t agree on their other policies. Both parties are playing the same game behind your back.

  • Right. So everyone in this thread is seeing whatever the fuck they want to see in the comic, which is vague on purpose because god forbid OP actually expresses their political views like an adult, and we’re all talking over each other while they sit back without elaborating on what the fuck they meant. And we think we’re so smart, too, while discussing engagement bait drawn by someone with the artistic skills of a literal toddler.
