To me it's the dictionary definition of comfort-TV. It has actual trek, a new ship, a new quadrant, coffee, a bad ass captain, the best doctor in the entirety of star Trek, etc.
Yup. I sometimes travel (or travelled for that matter... I'm not going back to that shit hole) to the US and basically everyone there is living an act. It's so weird and artificial and it all boils down to an "I'm the best and deserve everything, all the others can go fuck themselves" attitude. This is highly toxic and can easily lead to violence. Pair that with how they breathe the most toxic form of capitalism and you have a recipe for the shit show that is the USA. I'm really sorry for all the cool guys over there. There certainly are some fine people, but the majority is completely lost.

It's a shame really. The horrific necktie is one of the funniest things in the game! I also don't vibe with the character. He's a horrible person! But it just makes the whole story all the more funny to me. I can actually identify way better with Kitsuragi... Anyway, the game is not for you, so I'll stop trying to convince you now! That's also not the point of the post anyway.

It's a CRPG, which is like a computer version of a pen and paper rpg. In this case it heavily relies on character development. The game changes significantly according to the choices you make. Not just dialog wise but also stat wise. Games like Skyrim barely pass for an rpg tbh. It's an action game with a stat system bolted on. I like those too, but they're completely incomparable imo.
That's just not the point of a role playing game. You'd need some action game instead. It's completely cool that you don't like the game but it just sounds like you were expecting something not-rpg from an rpg.
It's an RPG... You have stats and those stats dictate how good of a chance you have at achieving something. That's why you can play this game in so many ways. Just go with it when you fail something. Most times it doesn't matter, it just changes the way you play the game.
Nah, I'm hoping this becomes a thing and that a couple of billionaires will be shot soon. That'd be swell.
