Pay-to-win as critic has lost meaning as people just argue "you don't necessarily win" while missing the point that it gives you an advantage which in turn makes it more likely to win.
So let's call it pay-for-unfair-advantage. P4UA in short.
The intended experience is to overcome seemingly insurmountable situations. That can be through brute force (just dodging, attacking) or through deduction (there is a item which kills a boss in 4 hits).
It is about catharsis.
You don't need to have the best reflexes, you need to be involved in the game/world. And that seems to be the problem with people, they don't want that.
It is not about the experience, it is about finishing it. Else I can't explain what "I don't have time for that means"
Like saying I don't have time to read animal farm so I just read the cliffnotes. It is completely absurd because you take time for that other wise you would be missing out on nuance.
Not everything has to be for anybody. But saying "makes this more for people who didn't like it in the first place" is just entitled and rude.
There is so much that is already like everything else with little that makes them stand out. So why take something that is special and make it more generic?
Was the same for me at first but in the setting is button which pings the instances. I just checked everything with a green number and unchecked everything with a red number. After that it worked.
“What happened was the bear came up to the window at my friend’s side, and no problem. It let us take a picture and went away,” Gallacher told STV. “But I didn’t get a proper picture, so we went back and it was at my side.”
They already had the goddamn picture!
Ambulance should be retroactively allowed to unhelp people. Just ripping out the stitches while shouting "there are people who actually deserve this"
I think that is one of those situations where it is fitting to say "they deserve to day". Like they actually worked towards it.
Like that woman who took a selfie at the edge of a cliff with warning signs all over. It's unreal how many people are dying because they want to take a selfie. It's a fucking health hazard.
And embarrassing too. There must be so many ghosts because of that.
Widdowson believes the bear was motivated to pounce after hearing the two women discussing their upcoming lunch. Gallacher said, “Let’s get something to eat,” to which Widdowson replied, “No, you are not allowed to give food [to a bear]. Absolutely nothing, nothing, nothing."
“And I think he heard it and decided he had to eat my friend instead,” Widdowson quipped.
Both women credit an article of Gallacher’s clothing with saving her from a worse fate. "She was wearing a thick Marks & Spencer jacket and the poor bear got more jacket than arm,” Widdowson recalled.
“I was wearing a padded jacket and a top and another top—that’s what saved my arm,” Gallacher marveled. “I’ve been very, very lucky.”
My gender is not important.
