  • I would plan on the 800 or so price range.

(Also unrelated, but since this is in the Linux gaming community I wanted to let you know the fortnite does not work on Linux due to the anti cheat.)

Best buy open box is probably the best place to look.

  • Sound mixing is just all over the place where I can't reliably keep the sound at a single reasonable level, so I turn on subtitles and keep the volume lower so I don't wake the entire house when there's an action scene.

  • It's probaly not needed at this point. You can get flash drives crazy cheap.

  • I guess I'm a bit confused, immich does have a few docker containers available, I'm using one for backups and it works great.

  • It's more for people who look at the controller buttons while playing. I've had people use my controllers and get really confused when B is actually A and so on.

  • I can't speak for this controller specifically, but all of the 8bitdo controllers I've had seem to been fairly easy to get into and repair.

Although it's not as convient as the Pro 2, I wouldn't say it's not replaceable.

  • As someone who switches between PC using an Xbox layout and a Switch, I like the idea of swappable buttons, assuming it doesn't cause any issues physically with the controller in the long run.

  • As much as I like 8bitdo, I constantly had issues with my Pro 2. Hopefully this one is better.

  • My Linux ISO collection take up around 12TB, 268 of smaller ISOs, and 751 big boi ISOs.

  • Highly recommend using Immich and just creating a separate account(s) for your friend(s). You can even set storage quotas for each individual person.

  • Your dock won't work, as its most likely HDMI out only (not in). Even a lot of the capture cards that do have HDMI in tend to have a lot of delay, same with a lot apps that would encode a signal over USB, which would also have a performance hit on your Steamdeck as well. I unfortunately can't think of a good solution except maybe upgrading your wifi access point and using a wired network connection with your Steamdeck, but by then you mind as well just buy an external USB-C display.

  • I've been meaning to try the game again. Haven't really touched it since launch.

  • Alternate to alternate to.

  • If BF6 even gets close to that number I will eat my own socks. Such an unrealistic sales goal.

  • You can! They have replacement buttons for whichever layout you want for fairly cheap. I'm using the original ultimate Bluetooth with an Xbox layout.

  • I hope they update some of the original Ultimate 1 controllers for support. I love 8bitdo controllers, but I'm not going to buy a controller over it, and I constantly have had issues with my SN30 Pro buttons sticking.

  • The performance itself has not changed really. The article is a bit misleading.

They did fix the shader compilation issues, which would caused by the previous update. Overall performance is basically the same.

  • Maybe it's just the games I've been playing (mainly Mario Kart and TOTK), but I havent really had any issues with the Switch 2 screen, and I'm usually pretty sensitive to that stuff, at least on PC.
