Du kannst auch in einem Mehrfamilienhaus laden. Du brauchst nur eine Steckdose, die an deinen Stromkreis angeschlossen ist. Was viele nicht wissen: Eine Wallbox ist kein Muss. Es geht auch mit der stinknormalen Steckdose. Langsamer, aber es geht. Und wenn dein Auto eh ~10 h am Tag herumsteht, ist die Ladegeschwindigkeit zweitrangig.

Die überwiegende Mehrheit der Autofahrer ist immer noch Straßenparker. Da ein Verlängerungskabel aus dem Fenster zu schmeißen ist nicht realistisch. In Wohngebieten muss die Infrastruktur massiv verbessert werden oder die Öffis müssen in Verfügbarkeit und Attraktivität steigen. Das sind die einzigen Möglichkeiten, mit denen der Verbrenner wirklich schneller verschwinden wird. Die Technik reicht bereits heute für die meisten Szenarien aus.

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, in welcher Wüste du wohnst, aber ich würde mir auch bei 300 km Reichweite, egal ob Benzin oder Elektro keine Gedanken um eine Tankstelle machen.

Mein Verbrenner hat mit einer Tankfüllung eine Reichweite von knapp 1400 km, da muss ich mir um Tankstellen wirklich keine Gedanken machen. Ich bin wirklich ein Freund von E-Autos aber es ist (noch) nicht alles so rosig wie es oftmals dargestellt wird.

Kann nicht relatieren. Ich trinke weder Kaffee noch Energydrinks und streite mich trotzdem.

The weirdest thing to me is that the graphics settings don't make much of a difference. There's like a 20 FPS gain between "Ultra" and "Lowest" and I could barely tell which one it is just based on the visuals alone. How do Unreal devs mess up their optimization so consistently across many games? Surely the problem must be somewhat related to the engine itself.

It's Unreal Engine 5, so the bad performance is included by default. I've played 4 UE5 titles in recent months and all of them ran terrible even though they were far from groundbreaking graphically.

Hell, I could play the gorgeous KCD2 on high settings at a buttery smooth 60FPS but apparently I need to set everything to the very lowest and down to 720p to get the same result on much worse looking Unreal games.

Spoiler: Das Haus steht heute immer noch. Meine Urgroßeltern hatten trotzdem nicht viel davon, da sie weniger als ein Jahr später aus ihrer Heimat vertrieben wurden.

Nah, I have a slightly better system and the game still runs like total ass. I had to have everything cranked to the absolute lowest with dynamic resolution just to hit a shaky 50-60FPS with dips down to 20. It's just another insanely unoptimized Unreal Engine 5 game and it doesn't look good enough to justify the performance.
