  • Looks decadent with the oil pooling around the bottom.

  • Once a month ideally, I've had to cut back a bit recently because of rising costs. I also always try to pick up a shirt or something to support the band.

  • Repeating a lot of what's already been said here, but I'll list what's worked for me so far. Strenous exercise, lifting zone 2 cardio for an extensive period of time. Spending time in nature hiking/camping/going for walks in the park or around the neighborhood. Journaling has been a huge help for me personally, just helping me keep track of things I've done keeps me from feeling anxious about getting enough accomplished, and to get troubling thoughts off my chest. Prayer/Meditation/"Ritual activity", whatever you want to call it, bullshit or not, it helps calm the mind.

  • You can pretty much pick up Summoning from any album, they started out metal-focused with their earlier releases like Minas Morgul, so those might not match the "chill" vibe. That said, everything after Dol Guldur starts to lean all the way into Dungeon Synth. Personally, I think the best album to start with is probably Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame, I've always felt it was the moment they perfected their sound.

  • The lowest hanging fruit for recommending here is probably Summoning, that's about as close to a band who's entire concept is "Chill Mordor Ambiance". Alternatively, anything in the Atmospheric-Black Metal to Dungeon Synth pipeline, Ornatorpet, Paysage D'Hiver, or Old Sorcery. You might not find the screechy vocals to your taste, but it has unmatched Atmosphere.

  • I don't have much to add, but seconding Bravern, it's really that good.

  • I think they explicitly do want brownshirts buddy.

  • What doesn't a J-POP music video with a bishounen singer solve?

  • No, I think I'll stay and try to protect whoever I can. I'll probably get killed, I've more or less made peace with that.

  • I for one, don't believe people deserve to suffer.

  • They really don't give a shit. So much for Solidarity, fucking liberal bastards.

  • Your heart goes out to us, how sweet, I'll think of your heart when me and my friends who cannot leave are rounded up and sent to camps.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't part of the problem that the auto industry wants to chase the higher profit margins on larger vehicles? As long as the perverse incentive is present it's going to be an uphill battle to get them to produce more compact, cost effective cars.

  • Comedy gold, except for everyone who has to try and shop at a Walgreens.

  • My parents, who were both public school teachers, saw this coming well over a decade ago. They've seen the slow strangulation of the public school system as a basic inevitability ever since the Bush Admin. I'm not gonna go out of my way to defend the current schooling system as without issues, it's DEEPLY flawed, particularly in how funds are allocated and how it handles children with developmental disorders/neurodivergences. However, handing everything over to for-profit groups who will have no interest in promoting the public good over making ever greater profits, is NOT the answer. Watching this happen in my own state at the same time leaves me sick.

  • It really is a tale as old as time.

  • Happy to see Apothecary Diaries so doing so well. It really deserves every bit of attention.

  • Proof of the value of looking beyond the most base layer of news. You'll make it easy to be fed a narrative that fits the elites worldview.

  • Thanks for including the explanation. Well, that gives a small ray of hope I suppose? Things haven't ALREADY collapsed.
