  • If a driveway directly leads into a high flow road, you have a stroad problem, not a roundabout problem.

  • Making a second decision mandatory makes it harder to change existing laws. This can be a good thing in some cases, but not always. It increases conservatism (in that it's harder to change things).

  • Which is why neither are SI-units

  • Buffalo the animal (I think it's water buffalo for mozzarella)

  • 2400W is typical maximum power for an oven. If you run that continuous you'll have very crispy (black) turkey

  • I doubt an oven needs 2400W continuous to keep at temperature. Also a single large oven will be far more efficient than 7.5 million separate ovens.

  • Thanks!

  • Can you elaborate? I know very little about the history of kilts

  • Also, there is a hard line in the sand at elbow noodles. That's Goulash.

WHAT?! I was all the way with you, until Goulash. What horrific version of goulash are you eating that contains elbow noodles? Or even noodles at all?

  • So is it literally a replacement, or an entirely different device?

  • Ah yeah, that's a good point

  • A tendency to roll for a long time would be true for any many-sided die, no? I can't imagine the 120 stopping quickly either.

  • AM doesn't reach further than FM, it's just that historically we've been using AM at lower frequencies, and these travel further. You could transmit with FM just as well on these frequencies, and get the same range.

These radio telescopes don't transmit anything at all, they listen to radio waves coming from the cosmos. Much like a normal telescope doesn't transmit light.

  • Would people just lie on the internet?

  • Only if it's about a mother though.

  • As a christian, that's how I like to read it too.

  • It's not even technically correct, you'd have to talk about female humans to be technically correct.

  • The same worries exist here too though. The blood bank isn't allowed to pay you for your plasma, but it's absolutely a for-profit organisation that runs on selling your plasma to pharmaceutical companies.

I still believe it's a good thing to donate, but sometimes it feels a little icky that there's also a businessmodel around it

  • IR bottom heaters are usually not strong enough for reballing. They're for boards that are hard to solder, because there's a lot of copper or a heatsink for example.

The bottom heater preheats the whole board, not to soldering temperatures but enough to make soldering a lot easier.
