Pretty anecdotal. I'm writing this from Alberta, and I'll be standing in defence of my country. Be careful to not paint populations with wide swath brushes, due to a few screaming super loudly. I bet you if you had actual bonafide data and could run the numbers, there'd be just as many of them in BC, Manitoba, Ontario, etc.
Ok but that's one little person, doesn't mean the entirety of the country feels that way. You are literally reverse painting us with the very same brush that you are accusing us of painting you with. Or something like that.
Look, it's pretty straight up. MAGA most of us disagree with. Their screamy supporters, most of us disagree with. Everyone else, can just keep on keeping on.
Carney’sThe federal government's own department, the Privy Council Office, has been one of the worst performers in the access to information system
FTFY. Not a blind Liberal supporter or anything, but stuff like this pisses me off, especially when buddy has barely been involved in federal politics for a year, hasn't even been PM for a year, but it associates his name specifically with multiple years of inactivity.
Well geeze, I wonder why Canadians would have a less than stellar view of Americans at the present moment!? Might want to do something about your people screaming about how they are going to own us, and control us, and attack us.
Not only that, but create tax breaks for their clientele. Thankfully starting in 2025 this has come to an end, because our media is mostly a monopoly of traitor megaphones.
We need to make sure the CBC is protected, at all costs. Id also like to see some of these smaller guys be able to make a go of it, stuff like the Tyee.
I haven't stopped talking to these people (I mean I don't talk to them, but I keep connections). I only do this, because the sun will eventually rise, and I want to make sure their behavior haunts them for the rest of their lives. Especially in one of the cases.
Hey, I'm from where you are suggesting, and I'm also emphatically against whats going on. Both domestically and internationally. I think most my age are. The only people propping this shit up are boomers (inherent racism from the 'good ol' days' + susceptible to social media rage baiting) and people that we grew up with that always latched onto minority causes and viewpoints because they thought it was so edgy. Basically the people that were clearly not going to amount to much. It's revenge of the dumb.
I have to incorporate an entity this year, and I'm honestly just going to do it federally with an extra-provincial registration here. This absolutely sucks because it doubles up the work that needs to take place in the background, plus for some other reasons. But this place is just absolutely hostile to all but a select few business interests. I want to be best prepared if I need to pull stakes here shortly, and I'm not worried about ramifications should these Meatheads start messing around, as my capital and assets will be long gone by then. I'm almost at that point now honestly. My wife's still on the fence, but I'm just about ready to go.
It's hard on my kids too, their education is quickly starting to become absolute bullshit brainwashing hillbilly horseshit, all jammed like 45 wide into classrooms, with all sorts of behavioral bullshit. My kids teacher has been on leave since the strike (don't blame them) and he doesn't have the same teacher for more than a couple weeks at a time.
Can't rely on the healthcare, which is an issue for us as we have some of those issues in our household. I might even have cancer but I can't get an appropriate fucking test to figure out if I actually do or not, I've been waiting a month to see a specialist for some god damn reason. I'm probably going to die in my 40s thanks to these mulletards. Pwn the NDP and all of that horseshit. Libtards, Rachel Notley, Joe Biden, etc.
If this province comes to its senses, I can always restructure it later, but I like being prepared and I am doing this by finding ways to start funneling my shit out of here.
I love Alberta, but I hate the loserville it's quickly becoming before our very eyes.
Heading for 2014 prices. Couldn't have happened to a nicer set of folks. Can't wait for the mental gymnastics the UCP cult will try to use to justify how this will all go down.
It's being pushed heavily by a very very small amount of the population. They just get grandiose and outsized attention from social media forums, and the media. They scream loudly, but largely at clouds. The vast majority of Albertans do not want this at all, the problem being (and it's a larger worldwide pandemic if you will), citizens also have major apathy issues where they just kind of shrug it off and won't actually do anything about it. Hence the government acting like it is, and cuddling up to these quislings, whom they need desperately in a bid to stay in power.
The entire western world just needs to grow up. Social media, especially Facebook, needs to be set on fire if they will not do anything about the disinformation or the bots. Foreign intervention and interference via social media is a new and very present threat, probably one of the larger macro threats the world faces.
I'm a little out of the loop these days, and I'm not sure this applies to the newer x3d chips, so grain of salt. But I have a 5800x3d, and took the time to undervolt it (each core separately) after getting it, and it runs a whole bunch cooler without losing any performance. I have AIO on mine, but it's generally overkill.
Gaming isn't marketing to casual consumers arguably either. Pay top dollar to buy some product that's not even at alpha stage when it comes to these AAA games, no thanks.
I've got a backlog that's so gosh darn long anyways, this is all perversely actually a good thing in my life. I asked my dad if he wanted a PS5 for his 70th, and he was like nah, me and the PS4 are good. I need to be more like him.
You ain't wrong, at all. But I'm also putting my foot down with that horseshit as well, no more of that subscription BS to be found here either.
I installed a new garage door opener a few months ago, and when I realized it was asking me for a subscription, I had a category 5 meltdown. I've had it with that shit, I've been cutting those left right and centre. It'll be a cold day in hell when I pay a subscription fee to play games.
I built one in 2020, right when COVID was kicking in. I refreshed it when my daughter was born, because I knew I'd be spending a lot more time closer to home. It's still AM4 but it's pretty stout, so it's going to be seeing out the decade at this point. Maybe even more, as I just don't game as much anymore, and I'm just straight up not paying these prices.
