  • I always take these reports with a grain of salt as I know how INCREDIBLY racist the Japanese can be, and how prone they are to blame foreigners for every problem in their society.

  • People get very confused when told that hating jews isn't the defining characteristic of Nazi ideology. I blame our education on WW2 which seems to focus entirely on either battles, or the holocaust. Barely anything on the rise of fascism in Europe and how it was supported by (still active and popular) right wing parties in many countries.

  • BMW owners feel like just the right demographic to pull this shit on. The kind of people to have every possible streaming subscription service running at the same time and blame their financial situation on "taxes".

  • I think people vastly underestimate how much people moved around in the past. Not just from mass migrations, but also individuals just ending up in places. An army was basically a moving city making it's way around for years if not decades. New trade routes opening often meant people moving across the world to either end just to handle logistics. A fad started by one individual eventually turns into a staple, a tradition, a culture.

  • I don't know if soap operas imitate cartels or vice versa but either way they're always up to the most petty cringe shit.

  • Yes but racism funi

  • It's not much of a demand. Do your guests usually struggle with basic physical activities, like bending over, or sitting on a stool/bench?

  • That smell is bacteria. Next time you buy shoes, buy two pairs and rotate between them. The shoes will last longer and your feet won't smell as much. Another pro tip is wool socks. It doesn't have to be 100% wool, and they don't have to be thick and warm. Wools is naturally antibacterial and will not keep moisture trapped by your feet.

  • Wipe their paws off at the door. Your dogs will thank you.

  • Being a cripple makes yours very specific circumstances. Most people can bend over at will with no ill effects.

  • IT guy's wearing Birkenstocks

  • It's likely they're all on what ever immortality/youth serum quack "scientists" are currently selling. Virgin blood transfusions like that dying looking billionaire bloke is doing with his son.

  • I mean the Mauri are no longer genocidal slavers so that's good I guess.

EDIT: I find the whole "noble savage" schtick tirering, as well as the cringe hoo-haa song and dance routine. They were conquerors who got conquered themselves, and now want pitty.

  • All food is some kind of fusion. Humans have been cooking for hundreds of thousands of years, and very few communities have been truly isolated in human history. People going on about "true" this, and "authentic" that, just don't know shit about cooking or culture.

  • You underestimate how dumb right wing voters often are. I have a really hard time convincing people in my own country that just because someone says something confidently, it doesn't mean it's true, especially when it contradicts available data.

  • Cultists should go to heaven and stay there

  • Yes disabled people exist. They shouldn't be out and about in a snow storm. Please don't go driving around in it though. You're in the way of the plows doing their job and you are not as experienced as the buss drivers. You're likely to get stuck and cause an accident. We can let some days be exceptional days, everything doesn't have to work all the time.

  • The U.S is more likely to deliver F35s to Russia right now. I think Canada has to accept that they got grifted.

  • As long as people don't go driving around in cars unnecessarily, heavy snow and storms aren't that bad to get around in. Buss lanes are usually the first to be plowed and walking in a snow storm is always so cozy. Just wear a lot of layers.
