The offical Lemmy profile for Goldmaster

  • Use Signal,

It's what I advice my clients to use and it's much cleaner and easier due to being less bloated.

  • Had a client who wanted me to setup a geekom mini PC. Very good and reliable. Easy to unscrew and upgrade if needed. Had a crucial memory module and samsung ssd.

  • Networking effect

People use whatever is most popular even if its the shittest thing such as Facebook.

Only time people will care is when it personally and tangibly affects them.

For Facebook/whatsapp watomatic can be used to remind people you are leaving or such.

  • This is why you should use Signal.

At least there is message requests so you report and block if needed

  • Looks like a palm pre.

Where did you get the keyboard case from?

  • I can hear that track

  • Uk here.

Mastodon and Pixelfed are working fine.

  • What bluesky client is that?

  • Joplin, it's even better than evernote

  • Closest option is watomatic but it only works with whatsapp and Facebook messenger. There are talks about expanding it to support other platforms

  • So the whole security and privacy claims are purely marketing.

  • They already have with numerous problems such as peoples accounts and pages such as mine being removed with no way to appeal. Other than pay.

    Permanently Deleted

  • Somebody has watched miami vice and thought this would help crockett.

  • Not correct. I have clients in their 60s who are using Fedora just for online shopping and the occasional document edit. Everything worked perfectly fine out of the box. Only had to tweak libraoffice to save in docx by default and that's about it.

  • What program or blueprint are people using for this? Looks really nice, clean and simple

  • If only bluesky supported activity pub. It would be useful as trying to get people to follow it even though its a 2 click process is only challenge. Especially when it's to someone who not technologically minded.

  • Use your card.

Works the same way as your phone.

However, if you are looking to store loyalty cards and stuff then catima is very useful.

  • Networking effect for you

  • Mastodon @lemmy.ml

Mastodon gets a very good write-up in Stuff Magazine
