  • Respectfully, I disagree

  • given how blatant and inconsistent the lying was no reason to excuse it.

I was 14, and trusted that the US had adults in government that knew more about the situation than I did.

  • Fun game:

Any time you see a comparison between two similar things, check if the difference is consent. It comes up more often than you'd expect.

  • Turns out that people are assholes regardless of platform

  • This is literally what the phrase "the customer is always right" is about.

If you're a company that sells red widgets, but the customers want blue widgets, then you should sell blue widgets or perish.

The customers have made it clear they want a made with AI label. Even if Tim is right(unlikely) and all future development will use AI, it just means that all games will have the tag. If the customers want it, it should be there.

  • most of the games are available on pc with only a few exclusives

Let me play Lost Odyssey on PC you cowards

  • It didn't hurt them with Bojack and I don't think it will hurt them much here

  • There is a reason why the doctor says "we cannot prescribe you more pain medication."

The doctor has already done the math between your body weight and the prescription. They know how much they can give you without risk of overdose.

  • Remember Benzene? It's back!

  • Timesplitters 2 is a masterpiece

  • Generally, they know you're using a VPN because of where your traffic is coming from.

They probably block Digital Ocean's IP pool as a whole as it's often a hub for cybercrime and it would only affect a fraction of users.

  • This baby looks a little like Anthony Fantano

  • That is in fact what I mean.

AI and lootboxes are both technologies that increase the money-making potential of a game at the cost of the experience. Ie: games are made worse for their inclusion, but it happens because the suits want a bigger paycheck.

  • I sadly suspect the charm is "we can sack some huge percentage of workers if it delivers"

It's that, and a really impressive working prototype.

  • It would be great, but it could never happen. All the marketing of AI is around speculation of what it could do.

Investors know what a train is, what it does and how much it costs. They don't know any of those things when it comes to AI, so they're willing to spend a lot, because they were promised a lot.

  • "AI free" is the same thing as "Lootbox free"

It's an inclusion that significantly helped the executive bottom line, while harming the player experience. You run into these sorts of conflicts when there is a struggle between the art, and the money made from the art.

  • It's really not that complicated. There aren't any secret moving pieces.

Trump is a classic narcissist. As long as you're talking about him in a way that feels positive, he will like you and agree with most everything you have to say.
