  • Is there some way people can help trigger an election?

  • They have not blocked all efforts. They blocked them from being exported to Chimelong Ocean Kingdom in China

  • Or he understands the implications of tariffs

  • Tell them you won't meet with them, that should smooth everything over!

  • The consumers are the ones that end up paying the tariff costs. This is fine.

  • Do you honestly think it's realistic for anyone to actually stand up to Trump? Trump is unpredictable and will basically just do whatever he feels like, regardless.

  • A lot of people expected some kind of magic apparently. It's been about 4 months and there's a lot of big things to deal with. Anyone that thinks he should just stand up to Trump is ignorant of the power that the president unfortunately has.

  • I wonder how many of the "fuck Trudeau" people are upset about this tax being dropped...which was introduced by Trudeau

  • Someone should tell him that a bunch of people taking pictures of something doesn't automatically mean it's good. It coud be fucking terrible and people are taking pictures and sharing for that reason

  • Not that it's really going to hurt them, but I cancelled Spotify when I learned they donated to his inauguration. I also will not be visiting your country for a few years, which otherwise I would do.

  • Ah, true. It is specifically stated that the federal government needs to focus on affordable housing. I know provinces have housing as part of their budgets too, but I'm not really clear on how each level of governments housing budget funnels down to housing/the people.

To be fair about them saying house prices can't come down, any party would be saying that. If prices dropped enough there would be a lot of people across Canada with mortgages higher than the value of their home and that could easily turn into a bad situation.

  • He does say that the supply needs to be increased, which should help with prices. Demand is outpacing supply by a lot right now.

  • Do you think that's something they could easily do? It's a nice idea, but it's much more complicated to do anything about that

  • Out of curiosity, have you switched to another streaming service? I've been trying some others, but I have to say... Spotify works well. Basic functionality seems to be a struggle for some others. Example - Deezer has no memory/awareness of what I was playing on my computer if I switch to my phone

  • I'm sure anyone reading this knows, but it's really that they weren't allowed to be at the debates rather than they couldn't. Couldn't almost sounds like their leader got sick, wasn't able to travel for some reason, etc

  • "A better option for bike lanes, he thinks, would be the multi-use paths that often start completely off the word, like those on Woodlawn Road." This sounds reasonable
