I feel the need to address the Blues Brothers hate on the latest Chapo Trap House as someone who likes it. To me it's not about the film being a great comedy, It's only ok as a comedy. The reason I love it is because it's a musical love letter to Blues & Gospel music with performances by Cob Calloway, Aretha Franklin, and Ray Charles. The silly car chases that make cops look like idiots and killing Illinois Nazis is just Icing on the cake.
