  • fast.com is the one thing I’ll applaud them for

  • lemmy.world had blocked and then unblocked a bunch of piracy communities two years ago, that community being one of them

But it looks like lemmy.world is currently not federating that piracy one specifically, maybe I missed another announcement

  • I would think someone who is taking advantage of bat files would feel right at home with shell scripts in Linux. In my experience, shell was much easier to pick up than batch

Batch is probably the same, but what always made me laugh about shell scripts is you could ask a bunch of people how to do something, and they’d all have a different way, it’s like there’s always a new tool to learn and try to fit into your workflow if you want, I love it

  • Maybe I’m in the honeymoon phase but I can’t put it down, I love my gaming pc but the deck just keeps impressing me. I also fly a ton, and had been using a Switch, which I have now replaced with the deck.

  • Just picked up a steam deck because I was worried prices might spike soon due to RAM shortages, saying I am amazed by it feels like an understatement.

  • I know this is bubble related, and it sucks, but it is pretty impressive that the pc component market stayed largely the same price for the last 10-15 years at least. A high end PC in 2010 was anywhere from $1500-2000 and a high end PC until the recent component price surges was roughly the same, which means they got cheaper after inflation over the years.

  • I love specific prints like this haha, I’ve been meaning to do something similar with my LG monitor, the rounded part on the back makes it a pain to rest the webcam in the center, so I have mine slightly to the side.

  • My thoughts exactly, but it’s only going to get worse :/

  • It was very funny that haribo of all companies had the lightest battery for the capacity, but all good things must come to an end

  • I’ve had swapping over to an SSD boot on my todo list for a while for sure, at least now I know it is easy to restore from a backup lol

  • For me the biggest problem would be door locks, outside of that, all they’d really be able to do is turn lights on and off menacingly

Lesson Learned: Do you have the encryption key for your backups?

  • My annual subscription is finally up next month and then I’m out with an over 1600 day streak. I am sick of the hard push for AI and for how hard they push Max even though I’m already a paid user.

And all that aside, the Italian course just isn’t as developed as other languages. I didn’t realize what I was missing until I saw a friend who used the app for French.

I’m trying out Babbel, which seems to have a bigger focus on actual human voices, and Mango, which I get through my local library.

  • Yep, called and emailed last night, that’s the first time I have ever done that.

  • BOTH of my senators caved. Ridiculous and embarrassing.

Cortez-Masto and Rosen, for my fellow Nevadans.

  • I was really hoping for a special edition switch 2 or at least a bundle with the console, but it’s looking like that is not going to happen

I’m just glad we’re finally getting Prime 4 at this point

  • Maybe one more log output would fix it…

  • Man those kitchen aids can do anything

What is the recommended way to bond a resin-printed part to a PLA part?
