Die USA unterstützen Projekte wie zB Tor schon lange. Ich glaube, mit den Kürzungen im letzten Jahr wurde das eher heruntergefahren. Außerdem gibt es in einigen, va konservativen, US-Bundesstaaten auch solche "Jugendschutz"-Gesetze. Die Copyright-Industrie wird auch noch Ansprüche anmelden. Im Großen und Ganzen dürfte Zensur dank Trump leichter werden.

No way. The copyright industry in the EU is dominated by government sponsored monopolies (depends on country), No politician goes up against them, because that would mean going up against the media. The media is not going to call out their own cartels. Look up how it works in your country. You may be surprised by the corruption.

That's probably why we see this ineffective raging against US Big Tech. The incumbents are raging because the Americans muscled in on their turf. But because they are so ideologically pro-monopoly, we can't have any effective change. Instead, we get regulations that just make it harder for European tech, but occasionally divert a little cash-flow to local insiders.

ZB es werden in DE ständig Leute verurteilt, weil sie Handyaufnahmen von Polizisten machen/veröffentlichen. Datenschutz. Einfach googeln. Du findest sofort tagesaktuelle Fälle bis zum Abwinken. Du findest keine "Netzaktivisten", die das für ein Problem halten. Der "Zivilgesellschaft" geht es nur darum, dass man solche Löschansprüche gegen die bösen Techunternehmen besser durchsetzen kann. Und vielleicht noch, dass man Datenstraftäter besser verfolgen kann.

Hier würden Sachen wie in Minneapolis so krass anders laufen. Natürlich werden dir Leute erzählen, dass es doch Ausnahmen gibt. Das ist dann eine Einzelfallabwägung zwischen dem individuellen Recht auf Datenschutz (des Polizisten), und dem öffentlichen Interesse. Einfach ein paar Jahre durch die Instanzen klagen, bis vor die höchsten Gerichte, die dann von AFD-Leuten gekapert sind. Völliger Wahnsinn.
