  • It also infuriates me if the use 'improving the optimum' or claim something is optimal without the proof, for example 'this is the optimal configuration of a production system' after a comparison of 2–3 different variants.

  • I find it quiet absurd to even call whatever Putin does an election.

  • I just checked: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annexation

Since the end of the cold war (1991), only China, Russia and Norway annexed territory. Norway's annexed parts didn't belong to any other state, though. And you can debate if Israel is currently annexing the Gaza strip, but on paper it was Israeli already.

So yes, its Russias and Chinas stance.

  • Thats only Chinas and Russias stance. Unfortunately the UN has no power at all.

  • Its mainly touchscreen due to two reasons: 1. Touchscreens are significantly cheaper than analog controls. 2. Touchscreens support the 'publish now, debug later' approach of Tesla and a lot of Chinese car manufacturers.

  • To be honest: I am not so worried about the app store – the majority doesnt care anyways. Its in my opinion far more important that Apple and Google aren't able to leverage their monopoly into other areas, similar how Microsoft did so with Windows and Internet explorer.

Either ditch iMessage Apple Music, apple TV, etc completly or force apple to give their competitors an equal paying field, meaning no costs to use the app store, no default App and no free promotion.

  • Either that or just don't directly compete with them. Without Apple Music no one would have complained about it.

But you can't establish a monopoly and leverage it to charge your direct competitors a high fee.

  • There is a difference between a democratic, allied government spying and an authoritarian government spying.

  • Its not about not paying Huawei. Its about the way the CCP uses Huawei to spy.

  • I just double checked, because I couldn't believe this, but you are right. If you ask about estimates of the Sudanese war (starting in 2023) it reports estimates between 5.000–15.000.

Its seems like Gemini is highly politically biased.

  • The main problem is that china highly regulates their market – which is the biggest world wide – while expecting everyone else to follow open markets.

  • The FDP is definitely pro legalization. But the conservative SPD might become a problem.

  • Definitely not 'unprecedented'. In Germany is a FSB Agent currently in jail for killing a dissident of Russia.

  • But blocking arms and ressource shipments to Russia is not an Option, because (and that is a quote): 'We are advocating to going back to diplomacy and value the territorial integrity of every country, but do not intervene into internal affairs of Russia.'

How is the unprovoked attack of Russia on Ukraine something to not intervene, but the war of Israel on Palestine after the attack of Hamas on October 7th is?

That's just double standards exposed. Either you see yourself as a global power, supporting weaker countries and the right side or you focus on your internal affairs and do not intervene. But only supporting countries if it fits your own strategy is inconsistent.

Edit: Nevermind, its just unions blocking the arms deals, not the government.

  • Its not run by the US, but by all permanent members. China and Russia are doing the same shit, see Ukraine for example.

  • Palestinians =/= Hamas. Hamas is attacking Israel, Israel is attacking Hamas and the Palestinians are the casualties from both sides.

  • Both are imperialistic countries and therefore have the common goal of weakening the status quo of international law.

  • It does, though. Countries with a higher GDP have higher living standards.
