  • If only.

  • .. been on the other side of the escape hatch in South America a few weeks now. My country has national and private insurance, both won't pay for preexisting anything for 2 years, also no psychiatric coverage ever, but with vision/dental included it seems like a good trade. Red tape's been painful while being new to Spanish but, getting your point across while both parties are operating with a 3 or 4 year old's vocabulary can be hilarious/quite fun.

  • I'm on my third pair, the Viture pro, 120hz / 1080p oled and I think they're pretty neat. Particularly Viture's individual dials for your eyes if you're a little near sighted. Had the Xreal before, maybe they got better but after going and and getting the lense inserts adjusted to my prescription by an optometrist, (which took a couple weeks and cost an additional ~$100) they still were just a little off which sucks for text- the fuzzies manifest differently with minute differences in distance from your eyes, so they all kinda clamp on your head and it hurts before long without a hat or something to better distribute the pressure. Ymmv, I'd still recommend if you're at all a techie. No discernable pixels whatsoever and they've been easy enough to buy n sell used

  • Maybe it's akin to raising your arms submissively and having your thigh gap n junk get 3D scanned / inspected by a fully clothed TSA agent. Degrading, but not without a little thrill, no?

  • Motorcycles can be around that price. Even new.

  • Tachyon: The Fringe for $2 and some change for the nostalgia. Doesn't quite hold up w/ a max resolution of 1024x768, but had a great time in circa 2000. Maybe I can beat it this time.

  • Yes! Just hit 100 hours and still on occasion get demolished spectacularly by Arc, let alone other raiders, lol.

  • Tridactyl is a must for me. It's as close to the Qutebrowser experience as I can find (especially with ':guiset none') but I get to keep my ublock/sponsorblocks.

  • +1 for nnn- has a lot of cool plugins, especially preview-tui. Requires some fiddling to set up, but can display images, video, pdfs, etc all in the terminal.

  • I loved osx, particularly how intuitive the shift+command-+... keybinds were when navigating to all the important places.

..you might like Vim. Comes with command 'vimtutor' for an approachable (and imo, fun) tutorial.

listening to this guy talk about it got me hooked 😸

  • The worst option when dealing with a bully, is capitulate.

  • There was vr/gaming handhelds, but the Index and Steam deck made huge waves in the tech world..

Embracing Linux, opening up most of their UI to the people, allowing projects like Decky Loader, which has among other crowd sourced addon projects: CSS Loader which then has its own collection of crowd sourced addons, including two or three that could likely solve their font problem.

Those trading cards tied to achievements (ok, I have no idea what it's for.. but I like that it's there, lol)

I can't see how OP so strongly formed their opinion.

    edit: grammer: comma conservation

  • Idle speculation: maybe it has to do w/ the nightmare of their copy write/distribution laws. For instance Sony (yuck) has contracted Japanese VAs for dialogue in certain games(helldivers 2) but won't allow anyone outside Japan to even purchase the option.

  • Failed for thee perhaps, but mein hands are smol, vocab's colloquial, n' passwords often complex.. Autocorrect is the first feature that must die when I adopt devices.

  • Dude was elected twice in checks notes Arkansas?! Surprised he didn't club Medicare, and its recipients to death like Don Jr. wishes he could to an orphanage of defenseless baby seals.

  • Yess I love thumb-key! Open source, customizable minimal UI, and multiple layouts for many languages.

  • I just conferred with my omnipotent imaginary friend, they said yah, so long as they don't beat their wife, or slaves with anything wider than a ruler. (Or telepathically ask for forgiveness, what luck!)

  • ..not really. Bat shit insane, sure.

  • Impersonate dead celebs (or ones that should be)
