  • The EU true believers I know are incapable of comprehending this. They are steadfast in their conviction that this is all just temporary.

  • Finding bigotry on Steam is like finding sand at the beach.

Making Bluesky posts about it greatly increases the likelihood the media picks up on it though.

  • The hogs require slop, even if the slop pisses them off.

  • Basically:

    • Seversk has fallen
    • Huliapiole is being stormed by Russian forces, will probably fall in 2-3 weeks.
    • Stepnohyrsk in the west of the Zaporizhia region has been captured, so the Russians are now advancing along the first line of defense from the west as well as the east.
    • Pokrovsk is fully captured (since November, Western sources still deny this)
    • Myrnohrad is almost fully cleared, latest reports are that the pocket has surrendered.
    • Ukrainian forces are fully focusing on Kupyansk in hopes to get some PR victories (it is not part of the territories that Russia annexed).

And the usual piecemeal territory gains here and there. I've been following the war for years now, and I can confidently say it has never been worse for Ukraine than right now.

Going forward I think the views of NATO libs are going to diverge from reality further and further as the situation becomes more desperate for Ukraine. In the past years, the war maps from both sides were mostly in agreement, however this has now ended. Suriyakmaps is one of the best mappers out there, and they are largely in agreement with Russian claims -- so I will stick to those personally. I would avoid any pro-NATO sources when it comes to territorial claims going into 2026.

  • Well the ""independent"" media has put a lot of effort into brainwashing these people over the last 4 years; undoing all that mental conditioning is gonna take some time.

But their minds have proven to be nothing if not malleable, so I'm sure they'll get there in time.

  • "Big Tent" is the kind of fresh, innovative idea only a free American genius can come up with.

  • The swazikaka is derived from pee pee poo poo

  • cool & good

  • Which means that the canon ending to New Vegas is either:

    • Mr House wins
    • The player left and never completed the game.

And it's looking to be the second option which is profoundly Bethesda quality.

  • At this point I really just want the EU to go ahead with it and have it backfire as hard as possible.

Europeans when they realize soldiers cannot just materialize out of money alone

Europeans when they realize they only kicked the can down the road for 2 more years

Europeans when they realize Ukraine is the most corrupt country on Earth and all that money vanished into oblivion

  • It's foreshadowing for how Libs will cope when Russia takes Kiev.

  • I've only ever heard it as part of the phrase: "The Nazis lost the war but won the peace"

Which is very funny in this context.

  • Piss Iron Maiden

  • On a similar note, the UFO sightings from yesteryear are the drone sightings of today.

    It was Aliens Putin

  • STEM exams can have partial grades based on the completeness of your answer. They were rarely simple right/wrong multiple choice tests. And it was those where I ran out of time, and I hated the fact that I didn't even get to answer some questions because of this fact.

Edit: And some exams deliberately had more tasks in them than what could reasonably be answered in time, so you had to optimize by seeking out the high scoring questions first.

The more I think about it, the more I realize just how much of my higher education was only about gaming the system and not actually learning anything.

  • I was never able to complete most exams at university in time because I was too elaborate with my answers. Time limits are obviously necessary because you need to collect it at some point and can't keep supervisors there forever, but I don't see the point in making them so restrictive that some people can't answer all questions in time.

  • "In this article"? Don't tell me this is AI generated lmao.

  • Everything Russia takes is a symbolic victory because Ukraine itself does not really matter to the West. The Russians could take every last city, every last plot of land, kill every last soldier, and all the Westener would see is opportunity -- opportunity to militarize further and keep the tumbling economy afloat.

I sincerely believe that's the whole calculus behind Europe constantly suggesting ridiculous, unacceptable terms to Russia. They know they won't accept, they know the Russians are winning the war, and they want them to keep advancing because they are profiting from Russia staying on people's minds, scaring them in militarization. They have become dependent on the war economy.
