Been on Lemmy for a year and some on .world, but switched to .today to support lemmy decentralization.

  • All the time around here... what, do you think I would just come on the internet and lie?

  • Lol! That's hilarious!

  • Happens to people all the time on the bayou here, but we probably don't have conservation instructors, so I suppose the sentence is still unique.

  • I am totally just putting this out there and not trying to be annoyingly pedantic, just fyi. The AP rule for capitalization in this case is that this is a title, so if we are speaking of a specific don, it would be capitalized but if just a generic don, it would not be capitalized. So a random don, but Don Corleone. Unless there is a source for mafia style that contradicts this standard rule of course.

  • Oooh! Oooh! Get him for report abuse now!

  • Do you think this is just a troll or an actual teen? I don't want to waste my time on trolls.

  • Well, if you are never there, then you aren't there for them. Thus, they will not be there for you in the future, because you haven't bothered to be there when they needed it.

  • That then is your answer, friend. It's time to move on. It sucks, but it happens and it won't feel as bad later if you just end it now.

  • Of course! I hope you find a way to enjoy Who. It is a lovely universe. The other idea would be to look into Big Finish audio---they do a lot of interesting Who stuff.

  • Excellent. So far I think I've got it... I can see the reports and modlog for the community. I will do my best!

  • I get what you are saying, and autism might be a reason but not an excuse. I agree with you that it doesn't seem like the girlfriend values the relationship. Maybe she is young and doesn't realize the effort you have to put into relationships, but if she doesn't want to make the effort nothing will change. It sucks, but it seems like these two people are not on the same page.

  • Well, I appreciate your perseverance! I certainly hope we get some kind of resolution, or at least the color wears off and we all just forget about it. I really don't want this to become a trend.

  • Wow, Malala is so cool. She is my kind of celebrity: could not give a shit less about movie stars, but I would totally fanperson all over Malala. She might actually make me care about sports! (But probably not.)

  • Well, I am glad(?) it just seems to be the one. Did anything come of the idea that it could be deicing solution from a plane? I kind of checked out of this drama for a bit.

  • Hey there, I am willing to help, but I've never been a mod. I'm a pretty quick learner, but I would need some guidance in the beginning at least. I'm using Tesseract.

  • If you like the lore but watching it makes you want to stab your eyes out, look into the Target novelisations. They are mostly faithful to what was on the TV, and you get to use your imagination instead of BBC's production values. They were usually written by the same person who wrote the script. I actually prefer the novels for several stories and was really, really disappointed when I finally had a chance to see them. A big bonus is the Target books are pretty cheap and easy to find used.

  • This is so crazy. This picture looks just like the OP... please tell me this could still be the same single snowy and this isn't becoming a thing people do to snowies...

  • It's a daily struggle with my tuxedo edition as well! He simply does not understand, no matter how wise he gets. Sometimes he will shut up for a bit if I pet him.

  • It's definitely something that you have to grow up with. I was lucky to have an uncle who was obsessed with The Fourth Doctor when I was a child, and my love of the show comes from that. I wish some of the older stuff could be redone: it's unwatchable for many because it was made for an audience who had tiny black and white TVs and a great deal more patience.
