Did Poland really not learn its lesson in WW2? Why are they still gravitating heavily (vs other countries) towards fascist leaders? Is there a culture thing going on that I never learned? Is there some socio-economic reason that smarter polish people are leaving Poland or dumber people are going to Poland or maybe not able to leave to better conditions?
I didn’t want a cat because I’m allergic. My wife rescued a cat before we were married because she needed companionship in college for the last year. I just deal with my allergies now, and the cat loves cuddling. What can you do?
Need For Speed for being anti authority? Honestly, I have been missing a new NFS game. The last one came out in 2022, and the longest wait between them since 1994 was 3 years… Definitely didn’t play them all, but the last two, Heat and Unbound, were surprisingly good.
Same. I was constantly on Apollo. I loved the dev and how active they were. I got all the fun in jokes and considered it a very nerdy activity to scroll Reddit. Swapped to a new instance after a while, so this account isn’t as old as that.
Now I’m on Voyager and have swapped to Linux, so I guess the hive mind here is strong too!
Just make a live boot drive and try it out! Maybe get a little partition setup. I’ve been running Kubuntu for 3 weeks just fine! I am tech savvy though, but most of the things I needed to be savvy at were only because my PC is also my media server. It was less than 1.5 hours to set up gaming and all my window management options and whatnot. And now everything just works.
Finally swapped to Linux last week and loving it! Kubuntu because I wanted KDE for KZones since I was using FancyZones from PowerToys on Windows. The hardest part was migrating my qBitTorrent, Sonarr/Radarr/Plex because they all point to windows drives. A simple replace in the DB file fixed it, and we’re running smoothly!
Gonna get an auto encode/upload working this weekend, and I’m so excited. I don’t feel held back like windows, and it doesn’t feel like work configuring it, which I was afraid of.
A few hiccups here and there, but I think of it like growing pains that will eventually go away.
Every time my parents or grandparents ask, my wife and I say we won’t be trying until one more year. I think the current value is we need to be 55 years old.
Exactly what I was gonna point out. I travel my transit to work, but my wife uses the car just because it’s super convenient and closer. But on 50% of trips together we transit and 40% is car, and 10% is walking to our local breweries or bars.
I think this is only work data, which isn’t a great picture.
I would love DST permanent, but I understand that it’s not great mentally for school kids to get up and go to school in the dark. I would sacrifice that for the next generation to have a better experience.

This needs studying if we don’t have answers.
