  • With the current state of the justice system, it's just: Guilty until proven innocent

  • Yeah, you don't realize how much you're fiending until you get hit with the post nut clarity.

  • They should ban it. And if people still try to go on, hopefully those smart enough to use VPNs are smart enough to see through the ruse

  • Vance would arguably be worse.

  • I don't want to be an election denyer but I find it outlandish that:

1: he won every single swing state

2: people voted dem down ballot but not for Harris

3: the voting machines were connected to starlink

4: many reports from people saying their votes were not counted

I don't think he won fairly. I believe majority of Americans do not support him but there's been big money backing him for years. Unfortunately we didn't have any rules in place for such a scenario. (Other than 2A but good luck against tanks and fighter jets)

  • Repubos won't ever think critically about it. Trump said things have to get worse before they get better. So like Christians thousands of years ago (and today) they will go through the hardship thinking that there's a better life awaiting them. But it won't ever come.

Best case: Trump gets impeached, Vance takes over and they walk back some of this bullshit.

Worst case: Trump brings the army to start un-terrorist-ing protestors, declares martial law and enacts even worse policies.

  • The thing is, hate has varying degrees. There is: slight disregard up to boiling rage. But the root is the same. They hate those that are different and the higher ups need a Boogeyman to point their capitalistism caused depression to.

  • I don't think he's wrong. By shopping there once they make the desired changes, you signal to the company what you want to see from them. Other companies notice too. You reward them with your business. But by boycotting then all together, then they have no reason to make progressive policies. I think it's better trying to steer the shitty company than letting them get worse.

  • Fair enough

  • In America, right wingers support the republicans who have a verified track record of taking rights away, cheating elections and straight up lying. By refusing the see any other point of view, they reject open mindedness. They are unyielding in their beliefs and that is dangerous. It's whats led to the current affairs of the USA. Theyve been swindled for years. The thing I hate most of all is there core principle is hate. They hate minorities, immigrants, foreigners and gays. They always have some justification for it. "Gays are cross dressing and confusing my children. Gays are indecent. Minorities are abusing social programs. Jewish people are running criminal cabals. (Etc. etc.)

You'll have the "oh well I don't support THAT part of my political party but shrug nothing we can do 🙂" publicans but don't do anything or even CRITICIZE it. And those that try to refute these points either outright deny that its true or use whataboutism.

I will end this by saying I have right winger friends who are radicalizing away from me and I'm trying my hardest to show them that core beliefs of comraderie and compassion is far superior to the kool aid they're being forced fed by all major social media companies.

  • Doesn't make it right. This is a civilized age and we must forever push for progress.

  • Unfortunately, the art community is still big. No other platform has as much engagement with small time artists. I use it just for that. Sometimes Ill get curious and see political tweets. They're almost always filled to the brim with comments spouting: hate, disinformation or deflection. You'll see sane comments but the algorithm buries them. I'm sure most are bots but the nazi-ism is definitely boosted.

I've made accounts on bsky, pixelfed and cara and post there also. Unfortunately the masses haven't moved to those yet so commissions and posts are sparse.

  • I have the experience. Close friends consumed by the alt-rightosphere. These are (arguable were) caring people who'd stop and help strangers stranded on side of the road. People I considered like minded. But now it's "Democrats are pedophiles, Clinton flew with Epstein and here's how the election was stolen" (the irony is not lost on me).

Trying to discuss this constructively just doesn't work. It always ends with 😡👉"Your information is wrong and you're being brainwashed"👈😔 you can show them all of the stuff but their eyes glaze over and they're just thinking about how to find an article that either: Spins how the negative thing is actually good or just outright false.

  • They don't care. That soft power means nothing when Putin is pumping thousands, if not millions, into their pockets. They're looting this country. This is just also aligns with Putin plans to cripple the US.

  • Yes. He may just be the face of a long coming hostile government take over but fuck him anyway.

  • This is the faux-progressive version of "Did he say Thank You?"

Edit: maybe I misconstrued your sentiment. In the linked clip, he did not talk about the bombing of Yemen, only Trump feigning (or legitimately claiming, although I doubt it) ignorance.

  • tinfoils maybe Usha thinks "they'll" kill her in Greenland to start a war between the US and Greenland so she's taking her husband as insurance that won't happen.

Untinfoils most likely she knows they're hated and doesn't want to face the unwantedness/hostility/embarassment of going where she's unwanted.

  • I simply don't agree that the government should be allowed to murder.

  • I'm assuming it's a 2-way digestive tract
