also what's the point of setting it in New Vegas if they're going to try their best not to have any solid links to the game? Just set the show somewhere new at that point and have a blank canvas to work with
I do, pageantry and spectacle are fun and it's cool to see what people can do. It's just a shame that it's eurovision and therefore inherently part of the western imperial core propaganda machine (just see them banning Russia at the first opportunity while Israel is live streaming genocide & almost wins the damn thing). Now they're losing participants because they can't/won't kick out Israel. If it were just an annual show of countries from around the world showing off their culture through song it would kickass, but as it is it sucks

Fishing the Grand Banks, the fur trade, agriculture, ranching, logging, oil, mining, it's all resource extraction in service of the greater imperial powers. Yea same, I don't understand people who "need" a new phone every year. I've used every phone I've owned for at 4-5 years, the only reason I've replaced them that often is because I'm clumsy and drop them. My current phone is a cheap OnePlus I bought in 2021 and it still works great. I don't have a reason to replace it anytime soon but when I do I'm going to look at a non-smart phone replacement.
Fuck payment plans for phones. The only debt I have is student debt and I'm hoping to keep it that way
