  • Most of the time lefties I speak with agree with Hasans analysis whether they know it or not..

I have been watching Hasan for many years and enjoy his content, but am aware that there are lefties that don't like him. But that's fine.. When it comes to spreading stories/issues/topics, what's important to talk about are the stories/issues/topics themselves. Hasan doesn't need to be involved in the conversation at all (I believe Hasan has even said this himself).

Yes I find his analysis usually correct and his personality entertaining (not 100% of the time), but I can still talk about the topics covered with friends and family without mentioning Hasan. He's just one of many ways to receive the news.

  • As someone trying to learn as much about Linux as possible, why specifically AMD? Does it have certain advantages with Linux?

  • That's promising to hear! For the drivers are you using Open GPU?

I still have to look into the 1080s compatibility with this. Thanks OP for mentioning it.

  • Thanks! I am still very new to Linux and have been learning the OS through OpenSUSE on an old laptop. Still debating which Linux distro to switch to for the windows desktop (the one with the 1080)

  • Geforce GTX 1080

  • I am interested in Bazzite, but am unsure about its compatibility with NVIDIA GPUs. Had anyone here had experience with this?

  • I believe even MTG called it a genocide. Why is Bernie being outflanked by an actual demon?

  • I didn't know Lemmy had so many Apple fans.

  • This gives honeypot vibes. IOS only with no way to access via browser?

  • Pieces of shit will do anything if it saves or earns them a marginal amount of money. Fuck factory farming.

  • I stopped following him after the incident like many, so I am also unsure. I could be misinformed, but I haven't heard of any controversies since then.

I am sympathetic because I was once a conservative due to my upbringing. But after moving out and experiencing the world, I have gotten more and more progressive. I shutter at shit I used to say, but can't change the past. I can only focus on bettering myself for the future.

  • Here is the thing with Asmondgold. He apologized for calling Palestinians subhuman, then went on to say right after that voices for Palestinians deserve what's coming to them and a bunch of other horrendous shit.

From what I understand Pewdiepie hasn't been problematic since the bridge incident. So it's not a 1:1 comparison.

  • Serious question.

Do you believe in rehabilitation? I think its admirable for someone to overcome their shortcomings. Especially considering that we are all products of our environments.

To my understanding he apologized for the horrific things he said in the past and is attempting to better himself as a person. I don't see him continuing to be a problematic person.

Who here hasn't said or done regrettable things?

  • Trying to get my peers to care about their own privacy is exhausting. I wish their choices don't effect me, but like this article states.. They do in the long run.

I will remain stubborn and only compromise rather than give in.

  • I think its the genocide of Palestinian's that's being trivialized here..

  • For a more privacy focused solution I use Freetube on my Steamdeck. It has some drawbacks, but worth it if you are trying to reduce your online footprint.
