There’s certainly many cases like this. But I wouldn’t be dismissive like that- some are ONLY ignorant. I’ve changed someone’s mind before. They hadn’t had access to all that much formal education and it was just the standard way of thinking in their village. The hadnt heard it explained like I did before.
Oh yeah, that’s what it is in origin. But not for every idiot who falls for it. Some genuinely take it at face value and don’t apply the same anti-bodily-autonomy logic to anything else, and that’s what I find confusing.
That’s so fascinating!
Yep, nobody can be forced to use their body for anything, including the survival of a foetus, embryo, or even fully developed human. It’s so weird how most people would agree that nobody should be forced to even donate blood to save a life, but if it’s a uterus, it’s somehow controversial.
Wait is that possible? I’d donate my uterus in a heart beat. But I thought since organ transplants are a big deal and you have to be on immuno suppressants for life if you have one, among other issues, the receiver wouldn’t be able to safely be pregnant.
Even if they WERE done for funsies (which, like you said, they’re not), they’d just be early c sections. Nobody just kills an embryo if both it and the pregnant person could reasonably survive.
I honestly prefer text over either of those options. Saves time and doesn’t over stimulate. Plus, if I lose focus I can just go back, which would be tedious in a video.
Für mich war das tatsächlich der Part den ich nicht gleich verstanden hab. Obwohl ich von ihr weiss.
Last week I forgot to pay for one of the items in my bag. Like genuinely forgot that I had it. Had to pay 165€ for shoplifting.
Also: meds cost the same amount as my phone bill. Adds up, too.
This is what the slogan is and always was trying to convey.
The issue is that colonialism has depleted the resources of many countries and destabilized them, thus making them unsafe for many today Of course people will try to stay alive by fleeing those conditions. And it’s outrageous to turn them away. Us westerners have it good BECAUSE they have it bad. Doesn’t matter that nobody alive today is responsible for colonialism.
The problem is that we allow individuals to amass so much wealth, it inevitably leads to the rest of us being at their mercy like that. If we’re lucky, they’ll be sorta benevolent, like this person. Would be much easier if we took out the randomness and just had the funds to do necessary stuff like this collectively.
That’s what it should be. In reality it’s how much neurotypicals are bothered by noticing your neurodivergence. ‘high functioning’ often means ‘suffers in silence by themselves, as they should’.
Somehow the funniest part is that this isn’t anywhere near as painful as a bad period, and the pain doesn’t last for days at a time either.
I’d upgrade the depression away from my brain and give myself the ability for hyperfocus at will and to turn off sensory issues. Taking the autism and ADHD away altogether would leave me a different human, idk that almost feels like dying a little bit, or being lobotomized. Wouldn’t want to lose a part of my brain that makes me me. But super valid to want to be neurotypical!
Thinking about it, if it counts as an organ, idk if I wouldn’t rather change my immune system to stop attacking healthy tissue and get better at attacking viruses instead. Tough choice.
True! But then it’d make sense to draw another line between east Asia and the middle east
Not super believable tbh. Cans aren’t some mysterious indestructible material.
What’d help them most would be adjusting who they’re interested in. It’s easiest to click with someone of a similar age group with a similar amount of relationship experience. Neurodivs also tend to click best with other neurodivs. It’s easiest to meet through a shared hobby or interest- partner and I are both neurodiv and met by nerding out over our respective research projects, at a semi quiet bday event.
