  • Nothing he brags about has any basis in reality so why would this

  • At this point, I think I'd even be ok with other countries bringing democracy like we've brought democracy to other countries over the past few decades. Sure, it could get worse but, it's already a low bar

  • What I believe they mean is that the same people who'd use it as a demeaning slur and something to avoid are the same who would never touch a book after not being required to do so ... And likewise vote for people who's entire platform is fear mongering and hate towards the "other".

  • Unmanaged switches are cheap and useful. Managed are better but not everyone has the need for them

  • Is it bad that I'm partly hoping the US pokes the Canada polar bear and they go full Geneva checklist on the administration? Wouldn't be the first time they've burned the white house

  • But the terrorism!

  • If you haven't been paying attention, the current us gov does not give two shits about who is or isn't an ally and does not care about any previous agreements made

  • Some cancers have been cured

Gay marriage is still effectively illegal in many areas and the push for completely illegal is constant

"Most jobs" could be done remotely depending on how you'd see most. Almost all office jobs can be done remotely. If you're in front of a computer all day, you are likely able to do it remotely. You do not have to physically be in an office. If I had to guess, they asked a bunch of office workers as they had more time to actually go through questions like this

I contend that the US has not stopped being at war since at least Regan or Bush sr. See: Afghanistan starting with the support of the mujahideen

  • If only there was a way to do a check for compatibility on the os side for a standard that has been available since before the predecessor os was released and fall back to the older driver if it fails

  • The IT Crowd pretty nicely explains a good portion of my work day. 90% of it is either restarting things, signing out of and into things, and explaining fairly simple things in simple ways for people who I hope are very good at what they do because they definitely aren't good with tech.

  • Mayo is basically just whipped egg so it's not even a factor. Maybe not the same spices but you could, if you wanted

  • I don't discount your point but coming from the support side, it'll cause confusion to call it a layer 6 issue than a layer 8 issue. Layer 0 issues won't change at least, especially as long as sales gets in the middle of project planning.

  • He can't legally run. He also has yet to be actually stopped from any of his other actions that are blatantly illegal so there is zero proof that he'll stop now

  • I've stopped being so hopeful. The best I can hope for at this point is President Camacho

  • The only polling that has any almost meaningful numbers is post vote polling but even that is suspect

  • I fear it'll still be Trump, assuming he's alive

Is it in any way legal? No. Has that stopped him yet? Also no.

  • Does it even fucking matter at this point? There will be zero repercussions for the blatant disregard for the law to serve the authoritarian regime so they can say whatever they want

  • Or the ever popular extension of that: I've not done it so long that I'm insanely uncomfortable about it and will actively avoid the space in which it is in and do other things (read: nothing) while obsessing about the thing you need to do and the fact that you haven't done it until you nearly have a nervous breakdown

The task: laundry, dishes, sweeping, etc

  • You pretty much have to go out of your way to a place that specializes in it to actually be taken seriously
