  • It's the endocrinologist who deals with me now, I got passed over from the oncologist a while ago. Yes they do all of those plus thyroiglobulin, etc. They also do non hormonal ones like blood sugar, iron and others I can't remember, every few months I get a full workup. Plus I've had a stroke so the stroke clinic do other blood tests on me too. I don't know for sure that they would pick up on tests that I am not taking birth control, I just worry they would.

  • I don't want to. I've also had a stroke so hormonal stuff is really dangerous for me.

  • Abortion is still legal so if that happened, someone would probably just abort. Also why force thousands of women to take an unwanted and dangerous drug because of the illegal actions of a man?

  • I guess I could consider it but I do get a lot of hormonal blood tests already, so i do worry they might notice. Also, while topiramate may cause deformities in foetuses, it's not going to happen in my case because there will never be a foetus in my case. But according to the NHS, apparently women simply cannot avoid having a c0(k in them at some point, regardless of whether they are asexual, lesbian, religiously abstinent or anything else.

  • Thanks so much. I've had every other treatment, including nerve blocking injections in my head, and nothing works well enough. So losing one thing that helps a bit would be bad.

  • It is. I'd have more respect for them if they admitted it outright and just herded us all into a gas chamber instead of things like this, and stopping people's disability benefits to they slowly starve to death.

  • I'm not sure what the removed word was.

  • Thanks. I wouldn't have to pay for it, but my local pharmacist already complains to me about how much I cost the NHS and what a financial burden I am to this country. So I guess I'd get even more of that if they added another med to the mix.

  • Now I'm even angrier! They aren't even right about topiramate causing autism? Oh but it might cause a cleft palate, so I either have to be drugged against my will or have even more migraines, despite the fact that I am never having $£x.

  • I've thought about that. I already do that with some meds because they pressure me into taking so many already that I don't want and I will lose my disability benefit appeal if I am not officially taking all the recommended meds. However I am already under the care of the endocrinologist for my thyroid cancer treatment and every few months they do many blood tests for all kinds of hormonal stuff, I'm worried they'd notice if i say I'm taking contraceptives and I'm not, there should be hormonal differences between now and being on birth control and if that shows up on a blood test.....

Also it's so difficult managing all my meds already, i can't cope with yet another one. There is also the principle.

  • Thank you
