  • Thanks for the bump!

  • The webpage? it's still working for me.

  • Thanks for the bump!

  • Thanks for the bump!

  • Thanks so much!

  • No I don't believe in unconditional love, and please don't let this person pressure you into taking things you don't want to take. Especially when it's not even for your benefit but for theirs. If he loved you he wouldn't pressure you or risk your health for his benefit.

  • Yep this is why they tried to force me to take birth control if I want to keep taking my migraine preventatives, because the migraine preventatives can cause autism in an unborn child. They are so desperate to prevent more autistic people from existing that they'd force an ace person who is never going to get pregnant to take birth control just in case.

  • I don't think any meds work. All the do is give side effects.

  • I just got back from my second ultrasound. I had one on my chronically inflamed achilles tendon previously, and it showed the damage extended further down, today I had an ultrasound on my feet. It showed damaged ligaments in my feet and even something wrong with the bone in the left foot - some kind of deterioration, but the technician said someone needs to analyse these results in more detail. Anyway all these injuries and damage are the long-term results of the fact I've had a stroke, it left my left side weak and over time the tendons, muscles and ligaments and apparently even bone have deteriorated, and even the right side is having problems due to the extra stress of having to pick up the slack from the left side. So I'm going to spread the shockwave therapy out over the achilles tendon and feet. People helped me get enough money for 9 sessions and one scan, but having to pay for the extra scan plus transport expenses I ended up only having enough left for 6 sessions, which I paid for before any more of the money got spent. Now I am struggling to pay for transport for all this plus my usual medical appointments.

  • You too!

  • Thank you! I didn't even know it was my cake day. That's one whole year hexbear has been keeping me alive with food, friendship and solidarity. Thank you everyone!

  • Thank you. I'm so used to it though. I've just accepted it as the way things are. I mean, I'm angry but I know I can't change things and I'm too tired to try.

EDIT: Just discovered through a google search that folic acid supplements can cause cystitis too! With the supplements they prescribed and the impaired kidney function, no wonder I can't get off the toilet.

  • I'm so angry at how shitty my healthcare is. Months ago a blood test showed I have impaired kidney function. Nothing was done about it, I wasn't told to do anything differently. During that time they've been prescribing me ibuprofen gel, which I've been using daily on my achilles tendon. This week they got my blood test results showing my kidney function is even worse, and didn't tell me to make any changes. Just repeat the blood test in a few weeks. I've been googling it, and you aren't supposed to use inbuprofen, not even the gel, if you have impaired kidney function. It makes it worse. And they've been prescribing it to my knowing my kidney function is impaired. And my symptoms are getting worse, I feel like I need to urinate constantly. And what's even more infuriating, I've had excessive urination symptoms for several years and they just told me it was probably a just interstitial cystitis - an autoimmune bladder disease - and not to worry about it. This whole time it was my kidneys and they've worsened in that time. The entire medical profession is shit and should be shut down.

  • Sorry to hear that. I'm in a similar situation, except mine is caused by about a million food intolerances. I hate being trapped in a meatsuit that needs fuel to survive!

  • Thanks.

It does all seem so overwhelming.

  • Thanks. I like spinach enough to just eat it as it is plain after a few minutes steaming. And it doesn't seem to trouble me. The only problem is I read that if you eat spinach twice a week or more you can get kidney stones. With my low kidney function already, that's a worry. Otherwise I'd gladly eat it every day.

  • I think I'll see if I can get an acceptable amount food wise first. Pretty much every supplement gives me a migraine.
