I just sent feedback to google from the "my ad center" page describing the wallet idea to pay the ad price instead of watching the ad. Last time i sent youtube feedback they didn't come back to me but they did apply the change i was asking for. So we never know.
exactly. If the price was as much as ads pay it would cost users fractions of pennies per view. They just charge paid users so much more then that for the same thing. Since google ads is one of the biggest ads supplier we could technically have a wallet that substracts the ad value to not see it directly with google.
Youtube music comes with youtube premium wich i use a lot, listening with the screen turned off wich i use a lot for music and asmr, i saw that they added some kind of upscaling on some videos that i think are under 1080p to 1080p with increased bitrate or something like that, they added games recently wich i could not care less about. There might be other stuff but i'm not sure what else could be premium.
As a youtube premium member i wish youtube could cut out all ads for everyone and just keep the premium advantages for members. But i'm sure it's not that easy to keep the boat afloat. Hopefully they can get to a healthy balance of income for watch time and reduce ads for free viewers. But we all know they just want to see the line go up for the greed and would never reduce ads if people still watch with as many ads as possible.
I wonder how many different themes of games they could play with while also maintaining the great combat feeling of a fromsoft souls game. Sword and shield melee combat could be futuristic if the world they build, make it make sense.
I got celeste for $3 so i'm having fun with that. Some elden ring as well as starting a new sekiro game since i never made it past like half of the game.
I think it's a good thing that they are available on that store so whenever a better device comes from apple that can run them, that will be the moment they will truly shine. But iphone 15 and ipad? I guess not.
I played a bunch of older games i got cheap on steam deck and i'll do the same when the deckard will come out. 10/10 games that are 10+ years old are great to play on the go!
