  • i know i'm just so afraid to be sucked into the zone again. i was so obsessed i ended up in a tech news article about ksp related stuff lol.

    literally an entire year of scribbling designs at work, beta testing for modders, running games with 100+ mods and eventually making my own sub-mods, and finally running headlong into the actual game limitations

    one of the reasons i'm excited about it is it seems the engine was built from the ground up to overcome some of those limitations.

  • yeah my family never understands this is the hardest time of the year on my body and it gets worse each year

    every muscle is strained my shoulders are blown out. rotator inflammed. two co-workers are out with injuries. i've had to work between multiple departments (all the ones involving non-stop heavy lifting)

    rough estimate is i'm lifting (pick up and put down) about four to five tons of weight in 8-9 hours. and it's like restaurant work in a way, like fuck the company and the store but you will just get an endless barrage of upset customers if you can't keep up so you have to keep up unless you feel like spending hours talking people down. one "dive into the backroom" means 10 other people aren't getting things they need

    oh and on top of it all the SNAP fuckery caused a backup of unsold product which was unceremoniously dumped on us. basically an entire couple weeks of warehouse stock was just forcefully sent to the stores. it's difficult to work when every cooler is packed to the door and any staging areas are crowded with stuff. i'm talking maybe one single space for a pallet is all the flexible space you have.

    oh and since it's a holiday hours get cut mercilessly so cool to know there's stuff sitting there but nobody to put it out. capitalism = efficiency

    i'm done complaining. fuck thanksgiving. i opted out this year i'm not driving 3 hours.
