I'm hoping for regime change in any of those countries, but sad for the people dying. The girl school explosion is heart-rending. I feel for the parents.
Yea it seems like a lot! But I assume it would be for communities that are already in the desert, they're manageing with water, but barely, and one or two of these machines would help rounding things.
Thanks for the suggestion, but how do you deal with the protection? Do you have to remove and install again each time you need to work in the garden (eg. weeding)? Is it annoying? I feel like I wouldn't have the patience.
When I grew tomatoes, I had issues with them biting bites off tomatoes. I don't plan on growing them this year.
A problem I've had every year is them digging through the mulch and soil and derooting plants and making a mess on the balcony floor. I can't remember for sure what plants, but I think it was quite indiscriminate.
Yes, only squirrels. I'm in a 6a urban area (Montréal) and growing on a balcony. The squirrels are numerous and agressive. I get some racoons but I think they only go for garbage.
First time hearing about gophers, I don't think they're present here.
The control of media and of communication by the wealthy is mainly a threat to society.
It's not like eating junk food where you're only harming yourself.
We're all threatened by people being ignorant and propagandized.
Now, what you can do, there are many things. Talk to your neighbors, involve yourself in your community, get people to come on the Fediverse, demonstrate, etc.
There are advantages and issues with both high and low population, but the most pressing issue is that when population decreases, it puts a strain on working people because there's a higher share of the population that is retired.
Now that you say that... I do agree. But at the same time, I wouldn't want my daughter to be exposed to gross misoginy in the first place. That kind of thing affects someone deeply, especially teenagers, I think. I wouldn't want my son to be exposed to it either. Not sure what to do. I'm relieved they are far from reaching that age, yet I'm aware that time will come.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I would have considered it if I was the owner of my house and I didn't expect any neighbor to mind. It's a good idea for those who can do that.
