Exercises like Duolingo are only half the battle. You need to have some immersion in the language you’re learning. Watch tv and listen to podcasts in the target language, you won’t understand (at first) but your brain will start recognising the sounds and structures.

Also, my political campaign will hinge on every child getting at least one set of building block, because they kick ass.
So you know your bucket of Lego? It’s a bunch of blocks that can move around each other. (Swish some around to demonstrate)
Water is made up of little tiny block that can swish around too. When you make them cold, they start to stick together. (Start connecting Lego blocks)
The colder it is, the more they connect, until all the water blocks have joined up together and made a bigger block of ice.
Then, when you heat the ice up, they start to come apart and move freely again.
So, heat is movement and cold is connected. This is the same for almost everything!
Lava from volcanos is just rocks that have been heated up enough to move. When the lava flows out and cools down, it hardens back into rocks.
Might need to get those checked out.
I think that aspect has improved, then. The player base seems to have discovered that grouping up to take on fullgears is more fun than wrestling in the mud.
It’s a mixed bag. Bambis have nothing to lose, so you’re more likely to make friends.
I’ve had a few good runs by talking to people. You get betrayed every now and then, but it’s part of the game.
Same. Bohemia Interactive’s rep took a big hit (in my mind, at least) so I’m a lot more cautious.
This is after I backed the Arma3 Supporter Edition and had to wait like 6 hours after general release to play. Sadtimes.
NGL, DayZ has improved massively over the last few years. (I too had a very dim view of it after they took a massive step back moving from mod->Standalone)
Also, they made the Livonia DLC free and launched the Frostline DLC.
Bugs mean fresh and no pesticides!
BUGS GOOD!
It’s like finding soil on your tubers. It’s better to have to wash it off.
Why would you expect tap water to kill bacteria?
You’re washing bugs and dirt off.
Ok, legit though, a friend of mine started going bald in his mid 20’s. Tried growing his hair out but was eventually convinced that shaving his head was a better look.
Then he started to really get into Melodic & Power Metal and similar sounding music.
Then Amon Amarth. Which lead him to Norse mythology. So he gets a Mjolnir necklace. And he likes leather jackets.
Perfectly innocent!
And he visits some friends in Germany. Coincidentally there is an anti-nazi protest going on. This huge German dude takes one look at the pasty-white, skinhead, Norse symbol, leather jacket friend of mine and gets RIGHT UP I HIS FACE. Very intent on kicking his ass until the people he is visiting defuse the situation.
I think it’s a funny story, at least.
P.S. Fuck Nazis. 🖕
It’s the equivalent of a fidget toy. Keeps the noisy part of your brain busy so you can get stuff done.
Same thing happened in Ireland.

This is literally how it has always been.
You don’t own any of the games you paid for, you bought a license to play those games under specific circumstances. It’s the same with books & movies.
Valve have (allegedly) stated that in the case of Steam shutting down, games they can update to remove Steam DRM, they will.
“Hostile posture”
I really like that phrase.
Baby got stigmata.
The Harsh Internal Critic has been the bane of my life. Every hobby or achievement has been hounded by that little voice. And as you say, when I think I need to get help, the voice tells me :No. Don’t do that, just sit there watching YouTube for another hour."
Steam has DRM for Steam games. You can add any other game to Steam and ask Steam to attach Proton to it.
Steam.
