They would instantly catch an anti-trust case from Epic for trying to use their dominant software position to undercut hardware manufacturers and take control of both gaming hardware and software.
You did the right thing, the person was angry with no real outlet for it, so their brain found someone to blame to release that tension. They were not thinking rationally and attempts to argue would have been stonewalled and probably would have escalated things.
This is not a justification for their behaviour, it was despicable and wrong. More so my opinion of why anything other than what you did was correct.
No one is going to try pronounce Fbi, it’s awkward.
There are terms that bridge the Acronym/Initialism divide. SQL-Sequel, URL-Earl and GUI-Gooey are some that come up fairly regularly in my line of work.
The bottom line is; Language is used to communicate concepts. We are lazy and do it as efficiently as we can get away with. The rules have changed a LOT to get us where we are today. It would be blind hubris to think the change will stop just because we don’t like it.
I have the same question. I game, write code, browse the internet and all sorts on Bazzite.
(I actually moved from Pop to Bazzite because I couldn’t get my storage hdd to mount and stay that way on Pop (I am a Linux n00b, in case that wasn’t obvious. ))
No to self defence. You learning self defence will only provoke a stronger response from the guys who will go up to and beyond killing you, and may call in actual military support if required.
Civil disobedience feels like a better approach. Forming human walls, information networks and rapid support responses slow and mitigate attacks on your community.
Applying pressure to your representatives also can help.
No! That’s a great Dad-tier joke.
