Things were going great for me too. I was looking forward to heaven. I mean, sure, I’d lied, cheated, had bad thoughts, murdered a few people here and there, had wild sex with everyone, you know, the usual, but it was all good, still goin to heaven. But fuck me, I put the cereal in the refrigerator yesterday and now I’m doomed to spend eternity in hell. I was THIS close.

As soon as politics keeps it’s damn hands off our bodies and lives we will.

I’ve left Firefox twice now and come back. It’s still far less shitty than the other main options.

Do we REALLY want zombie Reagan and hundreds of others like that running around again? I dunno about you guys, but I’m so tired of living through Interesting Times ™️ and Unprecedented Events ™️. A zombie apocalypse where they don’t eat our brains, but just fuck up the economy even more doesn’t sound fun.

And we’ve also had therapy and really healed from having the curtain of capitalism yanked back and seeing the reality and then just going “back to normal” and pretending everything is fine and we definitely aren’t ignoring the exploding inflation & housing cost & food cost, stagnant pay, while watching a belligerent narcissistic racist sexist conman felon still be close in the polls for president despite using a global pandemic to cash in some gains at the cost of our lives, attempting a coup and countless other horrific activities. And the planet is on fire and we could stop it, but a few people REALLY want to get a 7th yacht and go to space for fun so we’re gonna do that instead. And that’s fine. Did I mention we’re all being exploited for our labor and getting less than enough to live on in return? And AI is about to fuck up all our shit because we aren’t prepared. And it could be amazing and do a million tedious tasks people do and let us all have more free time, nah let’s let corporations exploit that too and throw us under the bus as they speed by with all the benefits we made for them. And did I mention we are still arguing over the conman felon narcissistic loser that swindled our entire country to benefit himself and his buddies and got millions killed and whether or not we want him in charge again, or the person that has a plan and wants to make things better for us all. Not sure, still undecided. Oh, and today is 9-11, the day our whole country mourned the loss of ~3000 people in a tragic event and 20 years later we were losing that many and more daily to a virus, but it was “just a hoax”, now get back to work! We need to break our record profits this quarter for the shareholders!

Or, how about push for Ranked Choice Voting and reform/remove the Electoral College. Let’s make voting actually count and let people vote for who they actually want, not a lesser of two evils.

Then and ONLY then can we get some other parties in the mix with a shot. Otherwise it’s going to be the same it’s always been, 3rd party loses under the flood of people voting for 1 of 2.

Those 2 goals are achievable, some states already have RCV. Let’s get it on the ballot everywhere and make it happen.

We should make a server that has a database of all these numbers and let’s you do lookup queries in real time. And we could make that process part of the protocol stack that every device uses.

That is the MUCH better question everyone should be talking about, not arguing over Biden. We’re here, Biden is our only option, accept that and let’s talk about 4 years from now and start the movement for that now, not at the last minute.

I think making sure more people vote in their local elections, raising awareness of the actual POLICIES and the actual VOTING records of the candidates. Cut past all the talk and lies and BS. Help people look at what bills are out there and who is voting for what and vote for their desired candidates from that. Also getting more people to the primary votes. If we wanted Biden out then the primary vote was the time to do that, we could have flooded the polls for someone else back then. We could also have some campaigns or petitions or whatever to make known how people feel about issues and hopefully drive some change that way.

I am so tired of hearing people online like “I did nothing for 4 years and I’m mad at Biden for a genocide being done by another country on the other side of the planet so I’m not gonna vote for him now and I don’t care if that lets Trump win, it’s Biden’s fault.”

That is insane logic.
