A lot of eBay buyers purchase a thing and either get buyer's regret and want to cancel it entirely, or somehow get you to knock more off the price. This sounds like them trying to weasel out of a bid they regretted.
It's no different from posting on usenet back in the day. You have to assume it's all completely public. People are gonna train their AIs on large public text repositories whether they're given permission to or not.
It was potentially defamation when it was just women...talking to one another, too. This seems like a pretty solid case of men looking at something women do to protect each other, and saying "...but what about the men who could be negatively affected in some cases?" I also think the tone in which this is being discussed is pretty revealing about Lemmy's demographics.
I mean, yes, but does that take priority over women who are worried about their safety? There's been women doing this over local Facebook groups for a long time. Defamation of this sort is not a new issue.
Long time google assistant user, but them putting Gemini in it is what I'm afraid of, not the solution.
This is yet another "google released a product, didn't know what to do with it, and made zero updates over the last decade, so now they're killing it." I don't think they've ever fixed the bugs that existed the first day I bought mine. The speaker is handy for casting to, but also cast is a shitty non-open protocol.
Kinda just agree with the "everything in this space sucks" unfortunately.
Makes sense. Outside of people who get unibrows, it really would not have been typical for guys to do eyebrow maintenance when I was growing up. Not sure if that's changed now...younger guys seem more into fashion and grooming these days in general.
The huge apartments are kind of an acceptable break from reality for me. Yeah they occasionally have in-universe handwaves but the real reason is it's a set and it would be hard to film in anything smaller, especially in a multi camera sitcom like Friends.
I didn't watch enough Sex and the City to see if they had an explanation for everyone's wealth, but it was pretty clear that all the characters were wealthy.
How big we talkin' here?
