  • I'm glad I am reading your comments. I am that kitchen novice. And so is my husband. We've been trying to move away from Teflon since we had a baby, and are struggling to make stainless steel worth the extra time it takes to clean. I've been feeling very frustrated that despite trying to do the heat it up and use oil thing, it's still awful, and I figured either we're dumb and bad or everyone online is just lying. We just went back to Teflon, because people online say it should be perfectly non stick and then also that you can only clean the stainless steel with a soft cloth. It's hell.

  • Pretty sure that's the point, that the family isn't allowed to withdraw consent due to the insane "abortion" laws. This is so far past abortion. America is disgusting and grotesque.

  • Yes, when I was lucky enough that I could survive on part time income, my four day work week was glorious. I used Mondays to just rest. I could actually enjoy my weekends AND be productive because I wasn't trying to also rest in prep for the coming week.

  • And The 2K is gone pretty quick purely from adding the baby to your insurance. Boo.

  • Yes! I can see yours as well shares that weird tone. I understand why there's an argument, while still fully believing the couch is obviously brown.

  • This is the couch up against our old mantle with painted brown bricks (we didn't do that, we were renting)

  • We disagreed for years about the color of our couch. I called it brown. He called it blue. It was a weird grayish brown colored couch, but because it was labeled "slate" when he bought it, he insisted it was blue. We then added a teal blue couch to our house which just solidified my "this is the brown couch" position. We do not, to this day, agree. Eventually we got rid of the couch.

  • For years it was 30 Rock. Them Bob's Burgers (good, but the songs are always louder than the show) and now back to 30 Rock

  • I mean that's tough. Unless you have an unemployed family member who can take on the care, and even then it has to be a physically strong and frankly mentally strong person to do the kind of care elderly folks require. It's just not feasible for most families.

My grandmother is physically disabled and has dimentia. Some weeks are hell taking care of her, and she's one of the gentlest people with dimentia I have ever met. ( I used to work in a memory care facility, which is a big reason she's at home with us)

  • They actually already have a thing that basically turns the people on camera to stick figures. You can turn it off if you need to, but a quick check can see that they're up and moving around vs fallen down without invading their privacy too much at least

  • I'm not positive you mean this, but you're implying men shouldn't pay for their intimacy? You think it should be free? Everyone pays, but in healthy relationship the "payment" is emotional intimacy, acts of service, words of affection etc. No one is walking up to a stranger and banging them without giving anything. Heck even in sex alone there's "transactions." During foreplay, I get you a little turned on, you get me a little turned on, I escalate, you escalate.

  • Yeah, she "begrudgingly" voted for Trump, just like the people you're talking about. My parents on the other hand, lifelong Republicans, voted Harris. Sure "not all Republicans" but it is all the ones who voted for Trump. There's no excuse for them to have voted for him the second time. I am sympathetic to Republicans who held their nose and voted red the first time, but it's a different party now.

  • All Republicans. My idiot sister. She's like "I watched it" as if that's proof it wasn't? If the white superiority groups are applauding your actions, you're in the wrong. That quieted her down but it didn't change her mind. She thinks we're all over reacting.

  • Regular boiling is pretty good! The micrplastics end up sticking to the calcium deposits left behind. Never been so happy for that stupid white buildup in my kettle!

"As reported in ACS’ Environmental Science & Technology Letters, boiling and filtering calcium-containing tap water could help remove nearly 90% of the nano- and microplastics present."

  • I think that's pretty standard for public speaking. I've been printing stuff that large since highschool with decent eyesight. You just print as large as you can while keeping it all on one sheet

  • Blue

  • The craziest thing about this is that you're boss doesn't text you anything else all day?? Is all other communication over email? I mean I assume a lot of it is face to face but they never message you while they're in a meeting?

  • I have no idea if you're a man or a woman, but I'm guessing based on your comment, you're a man? You're talking about those hooks/ indents like halfway between the hook and the end of the hanger? I think those are a lot more useful on women's clothes, which tend to have much wider necks which means they just slip right off hangers. The hooks help wide neck blouses and jackets stay on the hangers, and they're especially useful for tank top or spaghetti strap type tops and dresses.
