  • Andrew Paul Johnson, 45, is among several Jan. 6 defendants who have been charged with new crimes since Trump’s sweeping act of clemency for Capitol rioters.

Also, FFS, the MSM needs to stop referring to these terrorists as "rioters".

  • Cases like this are what Democrats need to have on the very tip of their tongue when monsters like Noem and Blondi and MTG start up with their bullshit narratives where they have one case of an immigrant doing something awful.

Democrats need to counter with something like: "well, while we are talking about crime, why did your boss pardon a PEDOPHILE, (Pam/Kristi)? That's what we should really be talking about."

PEDOnald released these pedophiles. Ask them WHY. Every single time they imply that immigrants commit crimes at higher rates than citizens in an effort to distract from things like releasing the Donald-Epstein files.

  • Isn't this the third?

  • Is this guy doing a speed-run through every crank conservative wishlist when it comes to bombing/invading countries the world over because he knows something about his health that he hasn't divulged?

    Because "legacy"?

  • This guy reminds me of every negative stereotype about jocks/frat bros.

PEDOnald always talks about "central casting"; Petey looks and acts exactly like some douchebro character designed to be loathed in some 80s movie.

  • At least 3 creation myths, then.

Lilith Fair was named for that myth, BTW.

  • Very well said.

  • I'm thinking this guy needed more wedgies and swirlies during high school.

  • Love this guy.

According to some very idiotic narratives that have become extremely en vogue lately (hm, wonder why?), this guy should have been run off into the wilderness and made to retire by the very people that need him there the most. And merely because of the number of times he has been around the sun....

If any idea deserves the r-word, it is precisely that.

  • Duh, this is your party, Bobo.

It turns out that the Republican Party is chock full of Republicans.

  • What was the highest number she reached in the polling during 2020 primaries?

  • It’s not really any of my business if another person is vegan, as long as they’re not trying to shame me into abandoning meat.

^ Probably the right position in both directions. I don't really do any advocacy or even talk about it around omnivores as a general rule. About the most I've discussed it is online and only just to note my experiences. I don't think running around trying to proselytize and shame others over their chosen diet is all that useful. It's more annoying than it is effective. Some vegan/vegetarians, especially if they've just adopted the diet about five minutes ago, act like born-again xtians in many aspects and it is insufferable in my view. I've definitely had my run-ins with performative vegans or vegetarians and it's quite off-putting.

Someone I knew kind of casually from work-related things was a much older guy who had been a vegetarian since the 60s and I had observed him over many years (as an omnivore) just quietly not eating meat. He would answer questions when asked, but was not out to scold and lecture or even really talk about his diet at all otherwise. I think he set a great example.

It is a little sus that they get mad at someone eating something that isn’t a “beeg juicy steak”, like they’re Mr. Pottsdam or something.

Yeah, this. Most of the conversations that I have had are usually from omnivores with constant passive-aggressive remarks or unwanted dissertations and what-if scenarios. I find it rather baffling. Just the act of eating and not having meat on the plate really seems to provoke a certain kind of omnivore.

In general, if someone asks about it in good faith, I'll give what my experience was like and what our family tends to eat, etc. Beyond that, I'm not out there to be the vanguard of plant-based eating, LOL.

  • I would love to see that being a prominent part of the platform. Along with many more kitchen table issues, yes, but I hate it when Democrats are such pussies about stuff like this.

  • Who knew something associated with Epstein would be soulless?

  • 🤣 Not to mention that there are two creation myths in there, nearly right off the bat.

    https://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/contra/accounts.html

Skeptic's Annotated Bible is really fun.

If someone tells you they believe in the literal "word of [their] god" (and by that, they are being very presumptuous and assume everyone should just assume that they mean Jehovah/Yahweh/Allah when they say "God" and using KJV or NIV as the text), it might get interesting to ask them which version of the creation myth in there do they think is the real one?

  • Huh, I was told that kneeling silently while a piece of cloth was displayed and a song was playing at a game - was "disrespecting the troops". I was told that not supporting whatever elective war the conservatives wanted to wage on brown people was "disrespecting the troops". Meanwhile, funding troops when they were back home and their service and/or the war(s) they were in were over....eh, fuhgeddaboutit.

I don't think the conservatives really understand the meanings of words. I guess breaking someone's arm/hand is respecting the troops? As long as it is being done by a conservative?

  • LOL, "quasi-dove"?

WTAF? The dude has been invading American cities, FFS. And bombing fishing boats. And saber rattling against virtually every fucking ally we have...

  • So, they are admitting they broke the law, then?

  • It was right in the headline, but even if it wasn't, we could play "guess which party?" before reading further, and it'd be easy to get it right....
